Exceeded expectations
This property exceeded our expectations. It is larger than appears in the pictures. The sunporch is fabulous. Despite cool temperatures and rainy, windy weather we fished, went in the water, had bonfires and s'mores. It is a great area to walk and a lovely path to the lake and dock. Just what we needed.

Short Summer Getaway and a Show
Beautiful cottage on the lake, clean and in great condition. My wife and I enjoyed our stay and will likely return with the family next summer. Easy access into the water allowed us to take a couple of the tubes out onto the lake. So relaxing. We felt like we had the lake to ourselves. The water is very clean and refreshing. We also enjoyed fishing from the shore and dock and caught a bunch of nice sized blue gills. Looking forward to catching some bass or perch next time.

This cottage was a wonderful island of calm during a busy weekend in the area for a family wedding. I can’t say enough good things. Our four kids (ages 6-13) loved it too. Fishing in the crystal clear lake was a particular hit. We hope to be back!

Great family vacation
The cabin was updated, clean and well maintained. The owners were available for any questions. We all had a great time fishing and swimming right off the dock.The park at the end of the lake was such a a gem. We walked around, played on the playground and found another fishing spot on another pond. The park has a cool little splash pool. We went to the farmers market just down the road that had a great selection of local fruits and vegetables.

Baseball and R&R
Loved everything about our stay! Went up for a baseball tournament, but wanted to stay for everything else. The cottage was fantastic, views perfect and loved, absolutely loved the towns of Preble, Homer and Cortland. We were fortunate enough to get to enjoy the fire pit for S’mores, the lake for fishing and had PERFECT weather for windows open and cool breezes! The owners are wonderful people and willing to go above and beyond to ensure your stay is a great one! Take your hiking shoes, fishing rods, Kayaks and leave your worries at home.!

Hidden Gem
I loved my stay at this property. It was accurately described in the listing and had everything we needed and more. We met the owners when we checked in and they were very friendly. We will be staying again next year if we make another trip to Cortland.

Relaxing Getaway
The property was clean and welcoming =) Loved the games and DVDs for our 5 year old to play/watch before bed. Having easy access to lake was amazing - fishing, roasting s'mores - just a relaxing time with family. Took a walk around the lake and just up the road was a nice playground our daughter had a blast on. Also just up the road - the "Cortland Repertory Theatre" looked really interesting. Next time I would look to see if they have anything going on while we were there. Highly recommend - We had such a nice time.

Everything one needs
We went up for a weekend to the Finger Lakes region and to see the 2024 solar eclipse. In early April, it still gets a bit cold at night, but the host made sure the place would be warm, with a heater in every room and an electric blanket for every bed. The place has all the amenities one requires, and the location is fantastic, close enough to major highways but quiet enough for a peaceful getaway. We also enjoyed the vast DVD collection at the place, having a movie night with hot chocolates. We will return again next time we are in the area!

Perfect Cottage
We had a great stay to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and Easter. The cottage is in a great location and has a beautiful view of the lake. Although we didnt need to use a lot of the things the cottage is equipped with everything you need for your stay. From pots, dishes, to garbage bags. The hosts are very accommodating a d accessible. Anytime I needed to contact them they got right back to me. I would definitely stay again and recommend staying there.

Last minute excursion
This is a nice, quiet lakeside cabin. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t get the memo that it was springtime. We spent most of our days exploring the Finger Lakes. One of our favorite finds was Dashers, a pub in the nearby town of Homer. Overall, a great cabin for a quick getaway.

Great place to be away from the hustle bustle of Ithaca
Hosts (who live right next door) were very pleasant and welcoming. Helped us fix our WiFi issue right away and gave us a great dinner recomendation (Dashers in Homer). The house is a little rustic but clean and with a nice updated kitchen area. Just two of us stayed so it was probably a bigger rental than we needed, but nice to have lots of space to relax in. The weather (another rainy weekend!!!) prevented us from using much of the outdoor space/lake.

Cozy, well stocked, immaculate, view of lake
We drove up from NC to visit relative in nursing home. Hotel prices were off the charts. Found Richard’s place on Little York Lake. Beautiful enclosed porch with view of lake. There is access to the lake and fire pit but it rained the whole time we were there so maybe we can enjoy the lake features more on next visit. Entrance had ramp so we could bring grandma over for a nice lunch. Bedrooms are up a steep but solid staircase so people should keep that in mind. Beds were comfortable. Bedding supply was adequate. There is a fold out couch on main floor so aunty with arthritis slept down there. Of course that’s not as comfortable as a bed. There is only one bathroom so you have to come downstairs if you get up at night to use bathroom. Kitchen is completely stocked, great fridge. Some utensils should be replaced. Host provided tea and coffee maker and kettle but bring your own coffee. Host lists smart TV but it is not connected to WiFi and DVD player is temperamental. There is strong WiFi connection so plan on watching things on your laptop. Location right off Rte 281 gives easy access to everything. There is the Plantation nursery with tons of gardening items just down the road. Relatively new gift shop near the high school on 281, Anderson’s farm has the best apples and they make a tasty 17 year old cheese. Cortland restaurants are a short drive away. Looking forward to the next stay. Hosts were responsive and helpful.

Amazing Weekend Place
We had a great stay here. The cottage was incredibly clean, fully stocked and exactly as described in the listing. We enjoyed hanging by the firepit overlooking the lake and the indoor fireplaces were such a nice touch while relaxing indoors. We were able to meet the owners who are so lovely. It’s obvious they want you to feel comfortable during your visit. We will definitely stay here again!

Stayed here with my husband and our infant daughter for our anniversary. Property is right on the lake and easy to find. It was clean and the hosts were kind. Overall beautiful place to stay and we would stay again.

Very clean ,cute cottage ,hosts were ,helpful and hospitable . Not having a bathroom upstairs was a bit of a challenge. Especially since my husband is disabled ,and wears a leg brace that he removes at night . Also, not having cable television was tough. All in all a pleasant stay and would recommend it .

Rental property was exactly as advertised. Also very quiet. This is the way to go. Saved me a lot of money over getting hotel rooms. And i had a full kitchen to use. Again, a lot of savings.
