Hi Selma, We are so happy that you enjoyed the Williams House and Amelia Island. The Isle of Santa Maria Guest Room is one of my favorites with the Eastlake Victorian furniture and French doors directly out to the porch. I am looking forward to your next visit.

Truly Amazing
Publié le 1 oct. 2023 sur HotelsAs part of a four week tour of SE USA from the UK this was definitely a highlight. It annoys me intensely when people say they give 110% or 11/10 but, in truth, and if I could, both of these measures would apply to Williams House.
Veronica truly does give 100% in her commitment to providing the opportunity for a marvelous stay.
The rooms are beautifully and thoughtfully presented and deserve the 10/10 unequivocally. Breakfast was a total delight and as far removed from the all-too-common resort to plastic or styrofoam either in total or by degree as one could get. The food itself was both imaginative and beautifully prepared and presented.
Add in the fantastic location, a very short walk to old town Amelia Island, and it simply could not be better.
I would very much like to think that we will return in the not too distant future and, if you can, you should go too!
If you don't enjoy it as a fantastic experience I will be 200% amazed.

Beautiful property in a lovely part of Fernandina beach. Veronica was a wonderful host, made everything so easy and knew everyone and everything to do in the neighborhood.
Highly recommend.

Wonderful place to stay in Fernandina Beach. A gourmet breakfast in an elegant dining room is served each morning.

House was beautiful and in a perfect area; walking distance from downtown shops and restaurants. When we arrived, we had to park on the street because there was not enough guest parking. We also did not get the room we were advertised when we booked it on Expedia but I assume this was Expedia's fault for not updating the photos and room description. We got a room outside of the main house (Island Getaway), which is not what was advertised to us. The owner was not very friendly and after we left she accused me of smoking in the room and also stated I smelt like cigarettes while she was serving me breakfast in the main house the morning before we left. The crazy thing is, I don't smoke so I found her comment to be extremely rude and offensive as she automatically accused me and assumed I was a smoker. For the price we paid and not having stayed in the actual house and being accused of smoking... I honestly wouldn't recommend staying here. We had a better experience at all of the shops and restaurants and could've booked a cheaper room on the beach. Not what we expected and very disappointed in the hospitality.

Sheila,Thank you for your feedback. I am so pleased that you thought the Williams House was beautiful and in a perfect location. However, I am also sorry that the Williams House did not meet your expectations. To note a few items regarding Expedia: - the Expedia site does note that the parking is on the street- The Expedia site is up to date with photos and room descriptions and clearly describes the room you chose as well as the photos showing direct access to the exterior. Unfortunately there is no way in Expedia to note the different houses on the property which is why I have chosen one room from each house for Expedia. When making a reservation, I always suggest the guest check out the actual property website and even call the property to get the details, then decide which way is most effective for booking. - Regarding our smoking policy, smoking is not permitted and this includes vaping, smoking, burning candles, etc. on the property. After, you checked out, we did need to remove the drapes and clean them as well as steam clean the carpets (for which you were not charged an additional cleaning fee as noted in our policy).It is very important to us that guests are comfortable and we always strive for the best guest experience possible. We also try our best to make accommodation's possible for guest comfort, as in your case, with a late check in and arriving late to breakfast.We hope your next trip to the east coast includes Fernandina.
