Hotel closed when stay was booked - no one told u

Room was booked and the hotel was closed for renovation at the time it was booked. We were not advised and arrived at the closed hotel.

Flooded hotel

Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience for my children. MY children stay there for 3 nights and on the 4th night (6 night reservation), I received a call from the hotel (because I was the one who paid and reserved) to let my kids know that they need to pick up their belongings because the hotel got flooded so everybody needs to evacuate and no one can sleep there that night and for the next 2 weeks. The hotel should have provided a place for their guest to move in but, it wasn't the case. Instead I was told to contact hotel.com about it since I booked through them. I rich out to hotel.com for help but was not able to speak with a real person. Since the timing wasn't right, my kids have to spend a night on a car till the next day. They were able to find a place to stay for their remaining days. So I'm calling the la quinta inn & suites manager that you should provide your guest a place to stay when they have to evacuate or in times of emergency. For hotel.com, your customer service is very terrible, no real person to help in times like this. Can you imagine all the trouble my kids had been through for sleep in a car?

The outside of hotel looked super nice. As soon as I got inside I discovered that the outside of the hotel was the only thing that was nice. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels across multiple states across the United States and this is by far the worst. There were “maintenance” workers in my room on 3 different occasions during my stay. Yes you read that right, maintenance workers. They felt the need to come in and fix my air conditioning WHILE im staying there without my permission and with all of my valuables in plain sight. The second time maintenance left some tool in my room and then came back later asking for it. The last time they told me they had to come in and steam my carpets WHILE IM STAYING THERE????? I kept declining their offer and they threatened to kick me out, which was crazy. I’ll never EVER EVER stay here again.

We stayed a total of 4 night's... the room key was deactivated everyday.. so i had to get a new key everyday... the elevator broke for a brief time... nothing offered for breakfast... and then they charged my cc twice for the same stay...

Not soo good this go around

Over all i've stayed before and it was great next round was just okay ... I leave out why ...just one of the stays ...i'll tey again to determine if i ever come back again !

It was a nice place. Parking was a bit limited while we were there because the hotel was redoing their asphalt in sections.
