Hôtel très bien situé. Les espaces communs manquaient de propreté.

Surf and Sun was an OK property. Maybe not worth the $200 for one night, but it served its purpose. Their check-in system was down and we had to wait more than half an hour to check in (reception person could have used paper check-in way before she did). The room was clean but the bathroom was old.

We had reservations for the Thursday night that hurricane Helene hit. We were coming in from S.C. Contacted them and tried to reschedule for the following weekend. Sorry no can do. So we lost the money for the Thursday night. Got there Friday and checked in. Woke up in the middle of the night with fire ants all in the room. They did move us to another room at 3:00 am. Hotel breakfast was a joke. Milk for the coffee was old and clumped up when put into the coffee. Best part of staying there was when we left. There are lots of other hotels farther up the beach that are nicer. HIGHLY recommend eating breakfast at the "Beach Diner" about 5 mins away.

Nice and quiet location within 5 minutes from the beach.

This was a good stay. Super cute and I know they are in the works of some remodeling since it sold and rebranded. Unfortunately the elevator was so sketchy and we were nervous every time we had to use it. The room was great except it looked like the fridge leaked at one point and it deteriorated the wood underneath where it was sitting on. The staff at the desk was great, but we tried to relax by the pool and heard two employees get into it. Yes, the employees was flaky, however they knew we were by the pool and continued the loud and awkward unprofessional conversation in front of us so we left.

I was not impressed by the high pet fee compared to other properties and the parking fee is something that was not listed when I booked or I would not have chosen this hotel. A similar hotel right down the beach does not charge a parking fee and their pet fee was $25 per night making it half what this one was for a small dog. Overall it worked for our stay but unfortunately due to the cost for what it is we will not choose it again. Also we checked the breakfast photos online to be sure our children had something they would eat only to go out both days and see the pancake machine not stocked to use which was the only item our littlest would have eaten. Also disappointing.
