Quiet, peaceful cabin

Family vacation at Raystown Lake
Publié le 27 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is a wonderful place to have a family get together. Location is near the lake, near the marina, and near hiking trails. There are games, cornhole and a fire pit at the property, not to mention humming birds!

Great long weekend
Publié le 13 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is an amazing property. The house is large, clean and well kept. We had 10 people and stayed comfortably here. The kitchen is well stocked, the living room furniture is in great shape and comfy. We enjoyed the fire pit area and used the grill for burgers. Kids loved the pool table. Internet is on the slow side and didn’t always let the Roku function properly. Very close to Lake Raystown resort. We would definitely love to stay here again.

Thank you so much for the kind words Heather!! FYI your rating is suppose to be 5 starts on Communication as well as all the other rules!! I'm not sure how that got put to 4 starts, sometimes the app is touchy! Also, thanks for the wifi tip, we actually had it end up stopping two days after you left and had to cancel that service and get new service installed this Sunday! It should not be an issue in the future I hope. We hope you come back again!

Lake Raystown trip
Publié le 12 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was our 2nd stay at this beautiful home. The owners keep it in top shape and well stocked. The large driveway, and close proximity to the lake is ideal for our boat and wave runners.

Quiet and peaceful

Mountain Retreat
Publié le 14 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayMy family really enjoyed this property, it felt as if we were "off grid" but with all the amenities of being "on grid". Home was very clean and as advertised in the photos. The photos, however, do not do justice to the gorgeous views and peaceful surroundings. My family enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the chipmunks and other animals and just enjoying nature. The home was large enough to accommodate 3 generations and we never felt on top of each other. The rooms are incredibly spacious. In addition to the large space and beautiful surroundings, this home was stocked with everything you need. Pots, pans, bowls, cookie sheets, trays and anything else you may need to cook meals. Plenty of dishes, cups and silverware. There were lots of extra blankets, sheets and towels. You really only need your groceries. The owners are very accessible and respond quickly to any questions. Highly recommend this property.

Friends forever
Publié le 3 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis get together is a yearly tradition that 5 other high school best friends and I decided we need to do. Although the furthest away one lives is 3 hours we rarely get to see other. When the first of our group arrived, he grouped texted us and only wrote WOW! He could not believe how beautiful the place was (even though it was raining). As we all showed up, we felt at home instantly as we checked the house out, and couldn't believe how nice it was. Having the pool table was a great touch since it rained almost all weekend, however we did get to have a fire on Saturday and kept it burning all day and through the evening. Sitting around the massive table and enjoying the stories and food was so cheerful. We did joke on how clean everything was and each time when we would come through the door, we would hang our jackets up and place our shoes neatly on the mat (my wife asked me why I didn't do this at home lol). I can say without a doubt this place was well worth the money to catch up with 5 of my best friends.

Perfect, Spacious, Comfortable and Private Family vacation
Publié le 25 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayOur family for 5 (including 3 kids under the age of 4) had a wonderful long weekend in this beautiful, private, and very spacious home on the mountainside! The home was very clean with great amenities and everything we needed for adults and toddlers alike! Carolynne was super easy to communicate with and the home was so well prepared with easy and simple check in and check out procedures! I highly recommend a stay at her place for anyone looking to get away with their family of any size!!
