Amazing Beach Vacation
Publié le 18 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is an excellent choice for your trip to OBX! A 20 minute drive to Kitty Hawk beaches (easy to find free parking too), a <10 min from vineyard, grocery store, farm stand, and many other local stores!
John and Mercy were excellent hosts, they gave us an extensive list of activities around the area as well as restaurant recommendations. The property itself is very charming and clean and away from all the hustle and bustle. The private neighborhood beach is excellent for watching the sunset, reading a book in the morning, and/or meeting the friendly neighborhood people/dogs.
We would highly recommend this property for anyone traveling to OBX!

Adorable quiet vacation spot
Publié le 17 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful time at this property. It was perfect for a quick get away. The short walk to the beach was wonderful. We watched the most beautiful sunset. We would love to return! The property was well stocked with everything we needed to have a wonderful vacation. The community is special too. We loved the little library down the street too!

Perfect little house

The house was clean and supplied with everything we needed for cooking showering washing clothes etc and even had everything for the beach also! My daughter was delighted with the children’s books and toys. Definitely will book again! Great location off from the crowds you get close to the beach

A bit farther than expected
Publié le 26 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayNice room in a quiet area, about a half hour away from beaches. Dirt roads to access and tight parking entrance. There was some pet hair on the bedsheets when we arrived but changed them out with the extra set of sheets which was fine. There were plenty of things to do inside the cabin and overall was an enjoyable experience.

Hey David! I’m so sorry to hear about the pet hair. I will definitely talk to our cleaners and we will do our very best to make sure this doesn’t happen again. I am sorry that the drive time to the OBX public beaches was further than expected. They lowered the speed limit during the last year and I’m sure that has impacted the drive time. I updated our description to reflect this more clearly so it hopefully won’t happen again. We appreciate your feedback!

Perfect and easy getaway
Publié le 14 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayPretty neat. They have a wii. Demolished my wife in wii sports. Like a lot. Embarassing really. Great lil beach like a 5 minute walk away. 20 minutes to obx beaches without the traffic. Cant wait to come back!

This property is absolutely lovely. I brought two dogs who had an awesome time along with my daughter. The beach is breath taking. The fire pit was so fun fun and so warm! Giant Jenga was a hit with my party! The home is beautiful and well kept. The hosts were amazing and very attentive. Communication was top notch. And the neighbors are friendly and helpful. I even forgot something and the host messaged me immediately and is getting it to me. This house will be great for anyone wanting to stay. I had an amazing time and can't wait to come back again!
