I actually stayed here on a whim. I was in the area for work and opted to stay in the tipi, rather than commute in from Primm. It turned out to be a wonderful decision! Very quiet and relaxing. It was hot when I arrived (96°), but the tipi has an evaporative cooler. By the time I was ready to go to bed, it was cool. I even had to turn it down in the early morning. It was very comfortable. I didn't even mind the 15 yard walk to the toilet. A VERY unique experience. I would definitely go back.

An adventurous misadventure
Publié le 14 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayI'll be honest, staying in a tipi was not part of our vacation plans but when we realized we'd (ahem, I) hadn't booked accommodations for the following day we started looking on Vrbo and decided to turn our misadventure into an adventure. We visited in May when the evenings are still quite cool but between the fire pit, wood stove and chimnea enjoyed a comfortable and unique stay in a place we otherwise would never have visited. While in town we visited the local tavern which although smoky we found very friendly and our lunch from the adjoining "snack shack" was actually really good. We also managed a small profit on the in-bar video poker game.
If I were forced to cite a negative it would be that you're quite close to other visitors staying in the tiny home or wagon. We got lucky and had no neighbors in the wagon and quiet neighbors in the tiny house but we were hoping for a bit more seclusion. On the other hand if you had a large group I think it'd be pretty cool to rent all three in which case you'd have the best of all worlds.

Wonderful getaway!
Publié le 25 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayAbsolutely loved my stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a cozy and simple glamping experience. For me, having a fire pit exclusive for use was so nice and the sky full of stars just beautiful at night. the Tipi was also cozy and had lots of little comforts - heated blanket for the cold night, power outlets, etc. Although I didn't use the space, the kitchen area looked like it would be great too for anyone interested in preparing some food. Having a mini fridge was nice to keep things cold. Overall, really nice experience.

Couldn’t be more impressed! The perfect grounding experience if you are needing a run away from the busy pace of life. As good, if not better, than a penthouse on the Vegas strip 10/10

As a Vegas local, this was a nice gem to get away to for a night. The night we went it was super windy and cold but there were many accommodations to keep us warm. There was a heater and an electrical blanket. There were plenty of additional blankets provided. It was well lit and felt safe. The canvas blocked the wind pretty well. It was a cool experience.

Absolutely Perfect!
Publié le 23 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe spent two nights at Sandy Valley Ranch and I cannot say enough good things about this property and the hosts! The property is absolutely gorgeous, and the hosts are incredibly welcoming and accommodating. We ended up having a bad rain storm our first night that caused our teepee to become soaked. Sandy called us prior to check in and told us we could stay in a different accommodation for the evening. Our teepee was cozy and so comfortable even on the chilly night that we had. We spent both mornings walking around the ranch and saying hi to all their animals. We will be talking about this vacation for a long time! Thank you Sandy + crew!!
