Hotel typique dans quartier ancien

Publié le 28 oct. 2016 sur Hotels
Bien pour des jeunes. Mais escalier tres raide et SDB et toilette au rez de chaussee. Donc peu pratique. Tres difficile a trouver malgre l' aide de Coreens. On a tourne pendant 35 minutes.

밤에는 찾기가 어려우니 해 떠있을때 가는게 좋을듯.... 한옥마을 안쪽이라 간판들이 안커서 잘 안보여요...

Austere, traditional room

Publié le 26 nov. 2016 sur Hotels
Jangsoo Hanok Guesthouse (sometimes spelt Jangsu) is right in the centre of the hanok village of Jeonju, literally a stone's throw from the main crossroads of the district (Taejo-ro x Eunhaeng-ro). Only its gate faces the road, so you have to look closely to spot it. The house itself is down a garden pathway. The family operating the inn speaks very little English, but they can understand the essential words. Do not expect an antique building; it looks quite new, but built in the traditional style. I had one of the two attic rooms, which meant that the shared bathroom was a little distance away, downstairs. The bedroom was very clean and quite spacious for a solo traveller. Ceilings were low in places. There was no elevator, but the room was only one flight up. Furnished in traditional style, it meant a lot of sitting on the floor. Naturally it included sleeping on the floor with minimal bedding. If you're the type who generally sleeps on your side, this is an experience that is perhaps good for one night, not more. There was very little furniture in the room -- which was obvious from the photos at time of booking. There was good climate control, sufficient power points, good wifi.

Overall is good, but has communication problem.

Publié le 26 oct. 2016 sur Expedia
Pour : The room is comfortable. The guesthouse is inside the hanok village.
Contre : Communication problem. If they can know a bit Chinese or English, then can communicate well, but the owner is so friendly.
Emplacement : have street food nearby.

Clean and tidy, with individual bathroom. The host is nice and friendly. Location is convenient to shops and restaurants in the HanOk Village. Highly recommended for visitors who travel to Jeonju.

Authentic fun

Publié le 29 sept. 2016 sur Hotels
Hostess speaks little English but understands well so we were able to figure things out. Very nice people who helped us with the Korean traditional dressing - there was lots to choose from. Sleeping on the floor in futon was a little on the hard side but worth it for the price and fun.
