Nice Location just minutes from Jim Thorpe

Stayed September 27, 2024 In this review, I will describe our issue and then how it was resolved. The house was as shown in the pictures. When we entered the house on Friday, it had appeared to have been cleaned by Paola. As I inspected the house for any damage and cleanliness so I could inform the host, I was shocked when I opened the door to the bunkroom on the bottom floor. In the corner behind the door I found what appeared to be a coiled up black snake. After further inspection it was two black snakes. I immediately contacted the host (Vacasa) and was on the phone talking to a customer services rep and a supervisor to get resolution. Vacasa was very concerned for us but because it was Friday night at 7:30 pm they could not find anyone to come to the house to remove the snakes. Therefore, the only thing we could do is relocated to the 1st and 2nd floors. The next day (Saturday) we were contacted by a relocation specialist (Haven) with Vacasa who informed me that they found another rental property 15 minutes away that they needed to relocate us to in order to close up this house until they could get a "pest control" person in. Vacasa did a wonderful job with handling this situation, especially when there were 4 women who needed to be relocated. They were very apologetic and empathized with us.

REUNION OF OLD FRIENDS

Not fancy, but cozy. Plenty of places to be together and have privacy. Fun amenities and woodland friends to observe snd inyeract with. Good proximity to town.

Great location but unreasonable noise expectation

Great location, decent cleanliness, great choice of indoor games for the family but unreasonable noice expectations from the owners. Family playing game indoor and listening to light music became a excessive noice text and calls thru out the stay. It was 4 pm and I was told by Management to turn off the music. At one point the boys was playing cards (with no music) and I was told that there was excessive noise. In addition the outdoor grill does not work. If you want to have a great time and enjoy the beautiful surrounding, DO NOT stay at this property.

Nice for the weekend

The house was comfortable and reasonably priced. It could use some attention to minor maintenance issues. If you are a light sleeper don’t stay in one of the lower level bedrooms. Neighborhood is nice, quiet and has great amenities. All just short drive from the attractions at Jim Thorpe.
