Worst waste of money I’ve ever spent didn’t even stay the night in the room, an they refused to give me my money back never again

Their card reader was not working and they were no longer checking in people. I found this out when I got there and unloaded all my luggage. No one called me beforehand to inform me that I could not check-in. The front desk clerk was outside the hotel hanging out with approx 4-5 of his friends and they were making a lot of noise carrying on and jumping around in front of the hotel.

You get what you pay for, right? That’s what I kept telling myself as I forced myself to sleep. But I woke up with tons of bites on my legs. And someone set the fire alarm bc there are stoves in most rooms BUT no ventilation. Groups of men loitering by the door. I’ll just budget better and choose a more expensive hotel next time I need a rest stop on a long drive

There was hair toothpaste and a half bar of soap left in our shower that should have been cleaned. The cabinet doors were also missing from the cabinets.

This was a lesson to me to always read all of the details. I booked here because it was listed as pet friendly--and it is, if you bring a dog. I had a cat with me and only realized when trying to check in that they weren't allowed. (This fact is noted in the property info, but only if you click through to the additional details.) So at 10 pm, I had to cancel, forfeiting a night's rent (mercifully it wasn't a lot) and find a room somewhere else. Can't rate it because I didn't stay there, but it wasn't a great experience.
