Formidable séjour
Publié le 9 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayLe condo est spacieux, très propre et contient tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour un séjour confortable à Kona. Surtout il se trouve juste à côté de la plage Magic Sands merveille pour la baignade dans de grosses vagues. Si vous allez à Kona louez cet appartement. . Vous ne le regretterez pas!

A bit disappointed
Publié le 15 août 2022 sur HomeAwayThis apartment has a very nice view on the ocean and very cool to be so close to White sand beach. However, The air conditioning was not working when we arrived. We tried to communicate with the owner and he never answered. We never had any e-mail from him to help nor to apologize. It was so hot for our first night. Someone from the local contact finally called us back on the next day. She said it was repaired but it was not when we came back in the condo at the end of our second day and still so hot. We had to call her again. She was nice and came back to finally fix it. The condo is not for 5 since there is not any fitted sheet nor any cover sheet for the extra mattress so thin even for a kid. Air dryer was not working.

VRBO’S are not for everyone. Things can and do Wrong such as A/C. The A/C companies are very busy in July and August they deal with their large clients the hotels first. The hotels have the advantage of moving a guest to another room. An A/C problem might not be solved for a guest that has booked for the three days. The management company was contacted right away. The problem is still not solved. The guest that went in today that the A/C has stopped again ,but reported - it's not a problem, I just wanted to let you know so that if it does need repair, it might be fixed before the next guests arrive-- or better yet , while we are still here, But truly the natural air flow and breezes in the unit are wonderful and it's not too hot. They further reported Everything is amazing beyond exceptions, It has 5 huge sliding doors that totally open up to make it one big lanai and it is a corner unit for air flow.Being on the ocean trade winds are blowing. The extra mattress has been removed and a new air dryer has been added

Kona Revisited
Publié le 2 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayOverall, our trip was relaxing. The facility was constructed in 1966. The disappointing aspect of our stay was the ongoing renovation of the property, and no mention of it taking place. Construction had the parking lot divided, and the sound of jackhammers and other concrete machinery reverberating through the cinderblock and concrete building was very annoying. We could not enter the pool from the front entry and had to walk around to a side gate. A main reason we selected the property was BECAUSE of the pool area pictures. The scaffolding was directly into the pool area, and the pool lounge chairs were pushed to the edge of the pavement. We did not use the pool or BBQ the area was congested or otherwise cordoned off. We would love to return to the unit and recommend it WHEN the construction is completed.

Wow what a spot

I doubt there is a better view from anywhere else on the Kona coast. Directly down from our third floor corner room we watched fish swimming in The waves every morning. White sands beach is steps away and the host provided everything we needed for swimming, snorkeling and lounging on the beach. The place is a little old and shows its age, but I wouldn’t let that deter me a moment from coming back. Absolutely fantastic!!

TERRIBLE ANT INFESTATION, FRAUDULENT HOST
Publié le 9 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe alerted host Ted about the ant infestation (had video and pics of roughly a thousand of them in the bathroom, kitchen, and on the sofa). A dozen ants on top of the bed we killed but several had gotten under the topsheet which was disgusting. Tried not to let it ruin my husband's 80th birthday but it was terrible.
We kept killing them down but the 3rd day was the worst and we both lost sleep. Ted asked us to track down the nice onsite mgr (on OUR vacation!) but she didn't have traps. On last day he had traps brought in and a lamp to plug in on counter (microwave over cooktop not working so it was totally dark when trying to cook after dusk).
To make matters worse he fraudulently retained $100 in taxes for nights we prepaid and cancelled within the proper time frame. We were going to let it go but not after he gave NO apology, no adjustment, and what we went through - plus worrying the ants were going to come home in our luggage.
Also, the listing shows it sleeps 5 but sleeps 4 max.. It only has one queen bed and one pullout queen sleeper.
VRBO opened a case but Ted not responding to them either so we'll have to have VISA deal with him. Would not recommend this rental!

Could be a misunderstanding , A while back VRBO changed there policy that they would take care of all the money matters for owners and Guests.Your original booking was for Oct28 to Nov 2 - 5 nights. It was changed at your request to Oct 28 to Oct 31. I believe on Oct 6, An adjustment I understand came from VRBO. If that amount was incorrect it should have been pointed out to VRBO, I only receive the monies from VRBO after the guests have been in the condo. VRBO is paid by the owners to look after the monies. Owners to do not have to do rounds they would come from VRBO because the owners never had the monies,
Roaches and Ants are just a fact of life in Hawaii, they come with the climate. In the mail I send out prior to guests arriving. The following.
Please avoid leaving food out and empty the trash Dailey,as in the tropics insects can be an issue.It can and does sleep 5 it has an extra mattress .

Gorgeous sunset!

I appreciate. your comment both my oceanfront condo's in Hawaii have been crazy busy. 95% occupied to date over the year, Will be going to Kona on Dec 4 th, Doing furniture and other updates is a fun part of the business.Someone has to go to Hawaii on business

Magic Sands stay
Publié le 10 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayNice location. Studio unit. There is a popular beach next door (although watch your time of year since the sand "disappears" exposing rock). We enjoyed the restaurant/bar attached to property. Some construction noise during our stay, but it wasn't too bad since it was at the other end of the building. Pool is very comfortable temperature. View from unit is directly to the ocean and very nice!
