Publié le 15 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayFantastic property to spend some time on the coast. Great beach a couple of clicks down the road for walks/dogs or amateur 4WDing. The house itself is warm and comfortable and the bar/games area in the garage a cool addition. Only regret was we didn't book for longer.

Publié le 19 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property was in a nice location however there was no wifi and very little reception therefore could not use the stereo Bluetooth and there was an old stereo which we could not work out. There was no instructions on how to use it. As there was no wifi we didn’t have full use of the tv either as needed wifi to stream utube etc.
The property advertised a bbq in its pictures and facilities of the advertisement. We were planning on having a bbq the first night but there was no bbq to be found.
The spa advertised is an outside bath which you are required to heat with wood. Not a spa like one expects.
Cleanliness of the property was reasonable, could do with some more pots and pans. There was a dirty frypan that needed a good clean before using and really only one decent pot to cook with.
I feel the advertisement needs to be updated so visitors know what to expect and maybe some instructions on use of the facilities like the stereo.

I advised this guest prior to accepting her booking that due to recent weather events on the coast the wifi modem had been fried and that we had ordered new one, which wouldn't arrive prior to her stay. The blue tooth speaker in the garage does not require wifi to work, and is just like any other simple blue to speaker to connect to your phone.
We set up the DVD for her, and also advised that all free view channels were still available. Likewise, locations where cell phone reception is the best.
I can't see anywhere on our listing the mention of a BBQ, but will continue to look for this and remove. The portable BBQ in one of the photos is one that we took over that Christmas when the photo was taken.
We were the last people to stay prior to this guest arriving and left the house in a very high level of cleanliness - definitely no dirty fry pan. There are many pots and pans at the property, so many in fact that they don't all fit in the drawer and are located in the cupboard.
This guest didn't follow departure instructions, left food in the fridge and a full rubbish bin under the sink.
Both myself and Vrbo had to chase her for final payment following her stay.
We would not rent to this guest again.

Great place to enjoy your West Coast holiday

Remote stay
Publié le 27 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayA stunning house and grounds. Real luxury house. We couldnt get the internet to work and had no mobile reception. Tried contacting the owners but they hung up on us, said they would call back but didn't. If you go for an complete escape, you will stay at a place that is top notch it just that wasnt what we expected. Hope its an easy fix for the owners and the next clients can fully enjoy their stay.

Thanks for you review, but disappointing that this is the first we have heard of your internet issues. We never received any calls, voice messages nor spoke to anyone promising to call back. We pride ourselves in promptly responding to our clients.
We will update the listing to advise guest that due to our location cell coverage and wifi can be slow, intermittent and cell coverage variable dependent on your provider.
We are pleased that apart from the above cell/internet issue that you enjoyed everything else the property and location has to offer.
