The property is a little old, but it looked like they were working on improvements. The lobby is inviting, airy, classy and has a gorgeous view. The grounds are impeccable. We had a garden view of the koi pond. My 10 year old was given complimentary fish food so she could feed them. The pool is beautiful and relaxing with a separate adult side. There is also a jacuzzi hidden away in some lush landscaping. The beach is very safe with calm shallow water to snorkel in. But beware of the lava rocks at the bottom. I cut my foot but the guys at the rental shack took care of me. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food is a bit pricey. There is Brown's deli which is a little more reasonable. The breakfast buffet is very expensive but they offer gourmet coffee and pastries in the bar area. I paid $24 for a small cappuccino, hot chocolate and 2 banana bread slices. However, there is a Foodland within a mile of the property. They have premade lunch items like sushi, poke, sandwiches and salads. Their food was delicious and the staff is great. So we just stopped there every day on our way out. There is a mini fridge in the room as well as a Nespresso coffeemaker and a tea kettle. You can order S'mores to roast over the few fire pits on the property for about $25. Parking was free and there was always spaces. The parking lot is a little strange as it is part of the back of the resort where laundry deliveries were happening etc...

The property was gorgeous. The daily resort fee was pretty steep considering the only non-charge amenity was free coffee from 5 AM to 6:30 AM. Our TV never worked. Luckily, we were outside enjoying all Kona has to offer.
