A l'ecart de kandy, cet hôtel (en fait une villa) est un lieu de toute beauté avec son living room, sa terrasse au premier étage et bien évidemment sa piscine !
Le service est impeccable (merci a toutes les personnes de l hôtel), le petit déjeuner est plus que correcte. La chambre (premier étage) est assez grand, la décoration est soignée.
En conlusion, lieu à recommander pour tranquillité et douceur de vivre.

Très belle maison, très bien dormi !

Super accueil, hôtel ou plutôt maison magnifique, bon repas.
La chambre n'était pas immense, mais nous avons super bien dormi, la salle de bain était très belle.
Le soir nous avons joué au billard.
Très bon petit déjeuner.

2 night stay as part of a 10 day holiday

Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, an excellent en-suite shower room, and a balcony with a view over the pool. The downstairs lounge and breakfast area were also spacious and lovely. Dinner was served outside on a balcony overlooking the front. Dinners were lovely Sri Lankan curries and the portions were very big. Too big for us but delicious! Breakfasts were also lovely, fresh fruit and honey curd followed by a choice of eggs and bacon and sausage if wanted. Clove Villa is very peaceful and it was lovely to wake up to the sound of birds. It is well-placed to spend time in Kandy, visit the relic of the tooth temple and the Royal Botanical Gardens. Particular thanks to Umesh (the chef) and Danushka who made our short stay very special.

Umesh and Danushka of Clove Villa made our stay above and beyond what we were expecting. This was one of the best accommodations on our 2 week trip to Sri Lanka with rooms and villa hotel decorated beautifully with a fantastic peaceful pool area. The unexpected surprise were the meals as we found out Umesh was a chef who prepared the best meals we experienced on this trip. As we continued on the trip we kept referring back to these meals which were over and above the rest. Danushka was also at hand providing the best service and attention for anything we needed. It really was Umesh and Danushka's detail and royal treatment provided who made this a special stay.

A wonderful boutique hotel in excellent style with pool and gardens. The location is perfect tranquility after a days sightseeing in town, with spacious rooms and lots of private corners where you can sit (pool, garden, veranda, roof top, lounge) and read/relax. The service is perfect, from the first moment of arrival to departure. The hotel also arranged transport and tour guides, taking great care to ensure our safety and comfort and making sure we saw the most possible - including lesser known sites. We took the option of full-board and this is to be highly recommended - Western and Sri-lankan food is offered and we opted for four nights of Sri-Lankan food and were amazed by the dishes but also the explanations of the (to us unknown) vegegtables and regions. There is no better way to know a country than through it's food and friendly people. If we are in Kandy again, there is no question that we will stay anywhere but here - nothing else would compare.

Great taste in interior decor
Publié le 5 mars 2020 sur HotelsEnjoyed our two nights stay here and impressed with the upscale internal furnishings. Dinner was good both nights. Freshly made soups and a terrific rice and curry. Charly was very welcoming. The property is out of the centre so need transport or order a tuk tuk. Not sure Kandy merited a two night stay despite how nice Clove Villa was. Enjoyed the nearby Botanical Gardens more than the holy tooth temple and the town centre was less impressive than expected given it qualified as a UNESCO heritage site.

Beautiful villa, lovely room and great breakfast with a good host. A little out of town but only a short Tuk tuk ride away.
