Beds comfortable, so much kitchen ware, climate controlled perfect, close to my family and across the street from the house that inspired my career. We will be back as much as possible! Such a wonderful three days! Thank you so much!!

We have stayed in quite a few short term rentals and this was by far the cleanest property we have experienced: no dust, dirt, or grime to be found anywhere. Shari, property owner, was so easy to communicate with and greeted us on arrival to give us instructions and answer questions. She has thought of every detail down to conveniently placed extension cords, makeup wipes, and a notebook full of history and recommended restaurants. We plan to make this a return visit!

Historic River House

The kitchen is well stocked to cook and the backyard patio is perfect for grilling out. We have wonderful memories staying here during our trip! The kids loved playing in the backyard and we even saw some lightning bugs on our last night there. Thank you for sharing this beautiful house as a rental, we really enjoyed staying there.

Lovely getaway

Really appreciated the info provided about the house itself as well as the Frank Lloyd Wright prairie home across the street. The location right on the river cannot be beat. My friends and I enjoyed our stay immensely!

Publié le 11 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a great 4 night stay. The house is so lovely as well as Sheri, the owner. The house was clean and every room was perfect! The beds were comfortable, the views of the river are magnificent and the patio is nice to sit at in the evening. We will be back!

Cool house in a small town
Publié le 24 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayWe were visiting family in Kankakee in the summer and this house was perfect for our family of 6. We also hosted some extra family one evening and the backyard and back porch worked out great. The kids also loved walking to Jaenicke's for floats!
