Not So Great

As frequent travelers and part of the travel industry, we’ve come to expect a certain standard from Marriott properties. Unfortunately, this stay didn’t live up to those expectations.
Let’s start with the positives. The hotel itself appeared clean, and the common areas were in good shape. It’s located in a convenient spot near Liberty, MO, with easy access to highways and local attractions, including Kansas City. If you’re looking for nearby spots to visit, 54th Street Scratch Grill & Bar is a great place for a casual meal, and you’re not far from Kansas City attractions like the Ewing Muriel Kauffman Memorial Garden. So, in terms of location, the hotel gets a thumbs up.
Now for the negatives. Upon check-in, the front desk staff wasn’t particularly welcoming or friendly, which set the tone for the rest of our stay. During our first night, we had issues with the TV in our room. After calling the number for tech support and following their instructions, they referred us to the hotel’s front desk. A staff member came to our room with another remote, turned on the TV, muttered, “Batteries probably dead,” threw the remote down by the TV, and walked away without a single word of apology or goodbye. This interaction felt unprofessional and frankly rude.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We are currently under new management and ownership; we are diligently working on retraining staff as well as a renovation in the near future. We hope to see you again when you're in the area so we can far exceed expectations.

I really loved the kind staff. The bed was comfortable. It was okay on quiet. It was dirty in the shower. It was dirty in the hot tub

Housekeeping did great job providing room care. Staff friendly. Breakfast options were good, enjoyed a variety each morning. Restaurants and shopping close by.

Room was clean but had a horrible musty smell that was overwhelming. The bathroom was so tiny the door would barely shut and there was no vanity to see any belongings.

The room was great. The staff was excellent. There was a full breakfast with lots of options. The bathroom was really tiny.

The amenities were great including the breakfast. Our issues were with the room. It was clean but it had a musty smell, the air conditioner was very loud when it turned on and they must use vinegar to clean the bathroom. Everything appeared clean though!
