Truly a gem in the heart of Kansas city!
The room, the decor and the sheer feeling of being in a building that has been magnificently updated made my experience magical and wonderful.of course all of the beautiful people who work at this venerable hotel are phenomenal and make me hope to return one day!

There’s really no parking available. You have to do valet parking. Unless you want to walk a long ways. They will charge your bill $24 for the service.

I absolutely loved this hotel and will definitely stay here next time we are in Kansas City!

Mildew smell
Publié le 1 août 2024 sur HotelsWe arrived at 2:30, check in isn’t until 3 and they didn’t have our room ready so we sat at bar. Meanwhile, 3:00 came and others were checking in and going straight to room. Finally at 3:20, bartender offered to help and checked on status. He said we could get a room now or wait for assigned room. We took the room that was ready. Upon opening the door, we were hit with a terrible mildew smell. I sprayed air freshener and we dealt with the smell since we had to wait before, we figured it would take a while to get another room. Went to dinner and concert but returned to same overwhelming mildew smell. The style of our king room was fine, kitschy modern but the size was very small. Valet parking was $42.

The stay was an experience! The staff, food and decor were excellent! It was exactly what I expected for a first time experience in KC..including art deco touches!
