The KC Explorer provides guests with the absolute perfect location to stay right in the heart of one of Kansas City's most vibrant neighborhoods. This adorable two bedroom one bathroom home is walkable to 39th St and minutes from Westport! This home is super cozy and conveniently located to many of Kansas City's finest attractions, restaurants, museums and entertainment venues. This home has private parking, a fully fenced backyard, plenty of outdoor seating and a backyard fire pit!

The host will not be on site during the stay but is just a phone call, text or email away!

The neighborhood is absolutely amazing and has everything you could possibly want within minutes. Within walking distance to the Kansas City famous Q39 Restaurant and just four blocks from Jazz A Louisiana Kitchen, Blue Koi Noodles and KC Smoke Burger. If you enjoy walking, this neighborhood is perfect and you are one block from Roanoke park! Lots of outdoor patios to savor a cup of coffee or a cocktail and enjoy a beautiful day. Westport is a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute Uber ride, there the options are endless. Billiards at Harry's Bar and Tables, Foosball at Buzzard Beach, cigar buff? We got you covered at Fidel's Cigar Shop and several bars with craft beers. There are grocery stores, restaurants, bars, boutiques, gyms, yoga studios all within minutes!

The neighborhood is quiet and we truly love and respect our neighborhood so we don't allow any parties or large gatherings at our properties. There will be a $700 fine assessed to any guest that does not follow this policy. We appreciate you respecting our home and neighborhood.

Getting around is so easy!! There are so many options. The easiest is to park your car behind the building and either walk or Uber your way around town. There are also motorized scooter and bike options if you enjoy feeling the wind in your hair or jump on the streetcar and explore Union Station, Power & Light or the River Market!

*PETS - We do allow pets with host approval. If you are planning on bringing a pet please notify us once you complete your booking. There is a $75 fee for one pet or $100 for two that is collected once the booking is confirmed and paid in full. Contact us for questions. (Guests are required to pick up after their pet, host provides dog bag stations.) This home does have a fenced in yard, dog bags are provided in order to clean up after your pet and the neighborhood is perfect for walking! There is a $500 fine for any unauthorized pets.

*Cancellation Policy*

Full Refund: Cancel at least 30 days before check-in for a full refund.
50% Refund: Cancel 7 to 30 days before check-in to receive a 50% refund for all nights.
No Refund: Cancel less than 7 days before check-in and the full amount will be charged. Cleaning fee will be refunded.
Special Exception: If you cancel within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in, you will receive a full refund.

A Place of Recovery
We booked this location because of its proximity to KU med and it was the perfect place to stay while my mom had surgery. Every detail and need was attended to and we appreciated being able to walk to a number of restaurants. My sister has a service dog and it was a great to have a fenced in back yard and a really nice neighborhood for walking. We will stay here again for follow up treatment at the hospital. .

The place and location was awesome. I really loved it. The only issue we had was the batheroom door would not lock. Oother than that it was awsome. I will definitely be staying there again as i travel back and forth to Kansas City.

The house was very welcoming, we felt at home the minute we walked in. The kitchen was well stocked, loved all the spices and very nice appliances The house was very clean. We enjoyed sitting in the backyard one evening. The location was great, easy access to everything. We will definitely stay here again!

Eclectic Urban Neighborhood
This home was a great spot for my husband and I to enjoy our first trip to KC. We stayed 3 nights. The neighborhood provided a variety of restaurants within walking distance. The off-street parking at the house was a great asset. We used Uber and Lyft to get around mostly. (Words of warning - getting a service to take us home from Kauffman Stadium was difficult.) There was plenty of space for us to unwind and cool down after a hot day of touring. We had everything we needed to make breakfast each day. The managing company was easy to communicate with and answered questions quickly! The reasons I can’t give this place a full 5 stars are personal in nature. If you aren’t used to urban neighborhoods and a few homeless folks in your path, you may not feel comfortable walking around. My husband and I have some mobility issues and the bathroom was a bit difficult to maneuver. The mattresses were on slated wooden frames and didn’t provide the support we are accustomed to. The television streaming service did not offer a full variety of programming. The pictures and listing of the home were very accurate and the home will be great for many, but I wanted to share these details with those who may have the same needs as we do. That being said, if you like the privacy of a personal residence during your vacations, the home would be a good place to stay while visiting KC.
