The room was fine. The staff was nowhere to be found. I arrived and no one was at the property. Found a contact to text and 15 minutes later the housekeeper shows up to let me and another couple in. Then she wasn't sure who was supposed to be in which room. Finally got it straightened out and settled in. Then this morning, no one to check out with.

Room was great. Staff also.
Check in was clumsy due to not having a checking counter designed for just the hotel part. Kind of confusing.

The stay overall was nice, the room was amazing.
Just the bed have noisy strings with any move was making sounds and we couldn’t close the window and a bit noisy at night.
That maybe we just didn’t figure how to close it.

I reserved 2 single rooms at Ophelia’s Restaurant and Inn for a Fri-night stay, on Expedia, per directions on Ophelia’s website. When I made the reservation, Expedia showed 3 single rooms available; after I had completed (and prepaid) my reservation, there was 1 room left.
I called Ophelia’s on the Mon of my arrival week to confirm; there was no answer so I left a message. I called again Tue and spoke with the Inn contact, who acknowledged my message of the day before, confirmed 2 rooms, a late arrival time, entry directions, parking, and dinner plans.
2 hours before Fri arrival, the Inn manager called to cancel me out of my prepaid and confirmed reservation. She said she did not have 2 rooms, and that Expedia had over-booked. I said I had confirmed with Inn staff 3 days prior, and she repeated the rooms were not available. She recommended Woodstock Inn. She offered to comp dinner, but given how they had managed my room reservation, I didn’t trust them to manage dinner, and we didn’t go.
Woodstock Inn was amazing. So glad we stayed (even tho it was more expensive). Beautiful, comfortable, so friendly, great breakfast, and so well-managed (in stark contrast to Ophelia’s, which obviously is quite poorly managed).
Cannot rate Ophelia’s cleanliness, condition, area, given they canceled me.
Am concerned will not get my $ back.
I do not recommend Ophelia’s at all. I highly recommend Woodstock Inn and Cafe Verona, where we had a great dinner after our arrival.

Absolutely fabulous. We had a wonderful time even though our stay was cut short by work. Definitely going to book another romantic get away soon

This is not a B&B. No breakfast provided despite being the second story of a restaurant. Food at restaurant was excellent (had an appetizer and wine when we arrived). The room was lovely and large (we paid for a superior room) but there was no hand soap and no shower curtain (we had to point that out and one was put in while we were at dinner). Too expensive for not serving breakfast. If they served breakfast it would be appropriate for the cost.

Everyone went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. They succeeded. Thank you so much, especially William and Laura.
