Great house in a great spot!
This house was perfect for us! We were attending an event at the convention center and this house was only a short drive away. It's also down the street from a Minsky's pizza, which we love! Jim is a great host. We would definitely rent from him again!

Was a pleasure of things reminiscent
Decor was sweet and antique, so we enjoyed it! There are a lot of stairs but we elderly handled it fine! The bed / mattress was amazing and so were the linens and bedroom decor! It was nice and homey! Would keep it on my list for return stay!

Perfect for Us
We were in town for a few days for holiday shopping. The property is clean, convenient, and comfortable with the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. The only suggestion we have is to add mirrors in other parts of the house besides the bathroom. It would make getting ready with multiple people in the morning a little smoother.

Super KC home
This house is in a terrific neighborhood with pups, food, shopping, and parks. We enjoyed walking and was easy access driving to KC sights. Very comfortable with everything we needed in kitchen, for sleeping or sitting outside.

Great place to stay
The place is clean and as advertized. The location is great--easy access by car to everything you want to do in KC and walkable to the 39th St. shops/restaurants. There are steps to get into the place and then steps to the second floor where the bedrooms and bath are located. It's not a problem for most, but something to be aware of for people with limited mobility. You can see it in the pictures, so it shouldn't surprise anyone. Jim is a great host. Easy communication and check in process. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to others.

Perfect location
There were three of us there for Picklecon. It was an inexpensive Uber ride back and forth from the convention center The only issue we had with this place was the fact that we had to carry our luggage up 2 flights of stairs. First was from the garage entrance to the first floor of the home and the second was to the bedrooms on the second floor Having said that, we will be back next year and plan on renting the same location center

It’s a place to sleep…
I want to start by saying that the host Jim is good at communicating and providing hospitality, however the rental needs severe maintenance and/or updates. When I viewed pictures of this rental when I was booking, it looked nice and the reviews were pretty good, so I went for it. Upon arriving, some light sources had lightbulbs that were burnt out or didn’t work at all. The bedroom furniture looks nice but the beds sound and feel like they could fall apart from under you. There is a broken stair leading to the upstairs that almost caused us to trip several times with our infant. I noticed an exposed wire in the living room and there is a mildew-ish kinda smell throughout the home but especially in the garage that leads to the house. There is nothing wrong with an older home, however it needs to be updated or at least keep up with. All in all, I enjoyed my trip to KC and Jim’s hospitality, however we pretty much did all we could to avoid going back to the rental until it was time to sleep.

Host was accommodating and arranged to allow us to arrive early. Great location for our needs. This is an older 2 story duplex with some steep stairs, and a very narrow driveway, interior and exterior pictures are outdated on the VRBO website. Host does not provide code for access but met us at property to provide garage door opener.

As listed and good
The owner lives a couple doors over, so will meet you to let you in. The place is a little dated and the stairs are loud going up and down them. Shower is a little small, but it works and the water was nice and hot! All went well, I have no issues or complaints. I made sure to clean everything up before I left.
