The Elms is a beautiful hotel built in 1912 so it has an authentic early 20th century charm. It is architecturally beautiful from it's elegant main lobby to the curved upper seating in the Three Owls restaurant to the two story skylight in the main dining room; really a treat for the senses. The food was very good at the restaurant and while we were there they put on a Thanksgiving buffet that was very well attended and held in the beautiful main dining room. The rooms are small by todays standards but in top condition. The beds were particularly comfortable. The pools and hot tub were beautiful and clean. The weight room was well equipped with lots of machines and some free weights. The staff was professional and attentive. We were there during a snow and the grounds crew had all the side walks clear and salted before day break!
This place is a jewel in the heartland of America, well worth the time and money if you are in the area.

Loved the old hotel. Rooms was cozy and comfortable. Staff was great to work with.

The property was absolutely gorgeous inside and the help was so friendly. The pool and spa options were wonderful. A group of 14 of us, men and women had our rooms all upgraded because of a convention. Most of us got to stay on the 5th floor where we were able to play cards and visit together every night after dinner.
