"We just got back from a five nights stay here and the grounds are incredible. The pool is absolutely amazing and beautiful. It it is right on the beach, although the beaches there are not really swimmable due to the Rocky nature. The rooms are amazing! Having a kitchen is really important. Unless you want to eat out at every turn and with the prices in Hawaii no one wants to do that. The partial Ocean View is actually mostly of the parking lot but still very nice. We had four of us, two adults and two children. We chose the room with the King size bed in the bedroom and then there is a pull out sofa in the living room. The kids didn't mind the sofa bed, although I would say it is mediocre at best if you have an adult sleeping on it. There is a washer and dryer and a unit which really is incredible. There is no maid service here which works out fine. We did not try the restaurant but her the food was good. It is right across the street from a safeway, ABC store, as well as what is supposed to be the best shaved ice place on the island but we did not get to try it."

"Super friendly, helpful staff, immediate positive response to any issue. The property itself and our room was wonderful. It was perfect for us. The downside was nightly noise from roadwork going on all night during weekdays. Some room renovations going on below us was on the noisy side as well. However, we would gladly come back and stay again. We also really enjoyed being in the historic town of Kapaa and all it had to offer. The Coral Reef was a great home base when we ventured to all the other areas in Kauai we visited. Thank you so much to everyone there for all the kindness you showed us during our 8 day stay.❤️ "
