Recently renovated. Top (3rd) floor with fabulous views spanning ocean, beach and bay views of the Coconut Coast. Spacious two bedroom with 2 full baths, sleeps 6. Split- system air conditioning provides cool comfort in the living room and bedrooms. Recent upgrades include fresh paint, granite countertops, upgraded kitchen cabinets, new window coverings, 3 Smart TV's, new cookware, new ceiling fans, new sofa sleeper and side chair, new lanai table and chairs. The 7 mile walking/biking path in front of the unit was named "One of the "best in the US with stunning views." Nearby swimming beaches include Fuji Beach and Kealia Beach.
This private, end unit has a superb location in the 12-acre Pono Kai Resort. The living area is over 1000 square feet with an oceanfront lanai that affords complete privacy from other units. The living and dining area catch the cool ocean breezes. An additional side window overlooks resort grounds and a sandy beach that stretches across the bay.
The spacious, master bedroom feels like home with a king bed and ensuite bath with vanity, tub and shower. This private space has a large TV and air-conditioning. Across the hall, a second bedroom has queen bed, large TV, air-conditioning and hall bath with tub and shower.

The lanai offers casual dining with stunning sunrise views. This is an amazing opportunity to wake up, enjoy coffee on the lanai and walk along the oceanfront path for miles in either direction.

A coin-operated washer/dryer room is available on the first floor of the building with resort key card access.

Lovely Condo
This condo has all you’ll need for your stay. Well equipped kitchen and all the beach items you’ll need. Communication with Donna was great. The only exception to the listing is the 2nd bedroom bed size seems more double size than a queen. There’s A/C in LR, Master BR and 2nd BR which was good. Some units at this site don’t have 3 A/C units. We enjoyed mornings on the lanai watching the beautiful sunrises. Walk to town and beach was short. Grounds are beautiful and other than the roosters is a peaceful setting. We so enjoyed our week.

Perfect Oceanfront Condo & Excellent Hosts!
We had an amazing stay at this oceanfront condo in Kapaa! The location was absolutely perfect—centrally located, making it easy to explore both the north and south shores of Kauai. But the real highlight was the stunning ocean view—we loved waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying our coffee on the lanai with the breathtaking sunrise.The condo itself was well-stocked with everything we needed, from kitchen essentials to beach gear, making our stay incredibly comfortable and convenient. The property was clean, well-maintained, and provided the perfect home base for our Kauai adventures.The owners were fantastic—super responsive and proactive in checking in with us to ensure we had everything we needed. They provided clear, helpful information before our arrival, making the check-in process seamless. Their attentiveness made us feel truly welcomed and taken care of throughout our stay.If you're looking for a place with an unbeatable oceanfront view, a great central location, and wonderful hosts, this is it! We would absolutely stay here again.

A great location for walking the bike path in Kapaa, easy walking distance to shops and food, plus 24/7 ocean sounds made for the perfect vacation spot. The condo was clean and had everything we needed for beach adventures or just lounging around. Bed was comfortable. Good communication w the owner. This location has amazing ocean views! Perfect to watch the sunrises. It has everything you need for your vacation. The only downside we had was staying for 9 days and the property only had 1 set of showering towels for each one of us. Granted there was a washer/dryer on the property, we weren’t in our unit enough to wash them every other day. I would recommend more towels for the guests. Also, our comforter had yellow stains on it which made going to bed a little uneasy. Lastly, our units AC was out for the first two days that we got there. Donna was quick to get it fixed and also accommodated us, which we were grateful for.

This place was beyond our expectations. Perfect location, right on the beach. Excellent sunrises. Quiet and the beds were so comfy. It’s located in the middle of everything we did. We had no complaints. We’d definitely recommend it and would stay again for sure.

Great Location and Amazing Ocean Views!
Pono Kai is a great central location! There are so many restaurants and food trucks within walking distance, a grocery stores, fun souvenir shops and a farmers market at the park just down the street . The unit was clean and well-equipped, but the bathrooms were a little worn. The views of the ocean are amazing! Check-in and out was quick and easy. This is a top-floor, corner unit so noise from other condos was minimal if at all. Would definitely recommend this spot for another family. We had an amazing time!

This condo suited our needs perfectly! It was very spacious with more than enough room for 4 adults. The view from the balcony sold us and it didn’t disappoint. Everything was neat and clean and the unit had everything we needed. The beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels were used daily! The Pono Kai resort was well manicured and had some nice amenities. The Island of Kauai had much to do. Donna couldn’t have been a more gracious host! She was always there to answer any questions we had. Her condo was as advertised and we would strongly recommend. Thanks Donna for sharing your condo with us!

Great property and great location!
We had such a great time during our visit. The condo is right on the water which made for awesome sunrises. There is a small beach area that you can utilize. There is no lifeguard on duty so it's at your own risk. There is a path right by the resort and it was nice to be able to walk to local stores and restaurants. The pool area was nice and clean. The resort has many games you can play like golf, shuffle board, chess, and croquet. The property is nicely maintained. The location is ideal for driving both north and south on the island. It is basically a central location. The condo itself was very well stocked with basic needs and beach/pool items. The owner, Donna, is very quick to answer any questions or help with anything you need. This was my best experience to date with a host. The beds were very comfy and appliances were up to date. We did not use the stove or oven so I can't speak to the function of those. There a couple things I would improve, but they did not take away from our experience. 1) The couch is very lumpy and uncomfortable. We didn't use it as a pull out bed, but just to sit on it wasn't great so we rarely did. 2) The balcony chairs are also uncomfortable. Replacing them with two chaise lounges would have been my preference. Or a chaise and a smaller table with more comfortable chairs. It's nice to be able to relax on the balcony for a longer period of time. Again, we had a great time and would definitely say here on our next trip to Kauai.

We enjoyed the condo and resort with being able to walk on the great path as well as go down to the beach. It rained our last day so we got to see the famous rainbows out the back side (the sun rises on the front side).

Gorgeous view & perfect location
We had an absolutely wonderful time staying here! The kitchen was extremely well stocked and made it incredibly easy and fun to cook meals at home. The balcony has a stunning view of the water and looks directly east, making it perfect for drinking coffee and watching the sunrise. The condo is literally steps away from the ocean, and the surf was very calm while we were there. While we also made our way to other beaches, on multiple occasions we simply stepped outside and spent many hours right on the beach by the property. While the resort doesn’t provide full amenities to private condos, we were able to use the pool, jacuzzi, and hammocks; and that was perfect to us! The location is very walkable to a number of restaurants, bars, and shops, and the beach walking path offers beautiful views. While I’ve previously stayed in Princeville, Kapa’a offered a really central location for day trips both north and south, which helped minimize time spent in the car and maximized time enjoying our trip. Donna was also a fantastic host and helped us within minutes during a minor issue. Overall, we had a great time in this location and would recommend it!!

Beautiful Kapa’a Ocean View
Donna’s VRBO is very centrally located to restaurants, shopping, and the beach. There is a great pool and walking path just outside her unit. The grills and grounds are meticulously maintained. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Donna’s unit is fully stocked with kitchen items and bath towels. She also has starter coffee, paper products and soaps. We enjoyed our stay very much-so many beautiful sunrises! Donna responded very quickly to a couple of small issues-we really appreciated that! There is an elevator in this building which was wonderful! Mahalo

The location of the condo is fabulous, with amazing views!! It could use a bit of updating, but the location helps you ignore it. We had an issue with the cable and electrical, so called Donna, and she came right over to help us figure it out. Donna was very helpful.

Great location. You can get in the ocean right front of the unit! There are much appreciated beach accessories to use: chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, snorkels and masks etc. the kitchen was very fully stocked with everything you need for making your meals, spices and all. Loved our bungalow.
Great location with spectacular sunrises. The rooms were large with large TVs. Our balcony overlooked the beach and public walkways so we got to enjoy all the people having fun walking their dogs, biking, etc. Absolutely loved the chickens! Great stay. Highly recommend.

Quiet stay.
Property exceeded our expectations. Great location for traveling around Kauai. Host was exceptionally communicative relaying information in a timely manner - she clearly cares about her guests and the property. I was worried about the roosters waking us up but this unit was so quiet that we all slept great without interruption.

Lovely Christmas Lodging
We just spent Christmas at Donna's property at Pono Kai. The views are amazing and do not disappoint. The location is perfect right on the beach and a good base camp for going anywhere on the island. The kitchen is fully equipped. She also has beach chairs, an umbrella, and a small cooler available for use. We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas vacation at Donna's condo.
