Unfortunately the staff member was rude and said check in time stopped at 6pm, the advisement on Wotif says 8:30 in in check in policy, room was paid in full and the staff member tried charging another$300 on arrival, I had the same issue with this member in previous interaction, I will never ever book another room through katherine hotel, my staff member was left room less, iv used Wotif for years and never had a problem, the katherine hotel member said he didn’t care what your terms and conditions said, his rules were 6pm and we would be charged a call out fee, rude and very unprofessional, now I’m $200 down and my staff member didn’t even get a room. His attitude is unlike no other and I have lived in this town all my life, i had worked with all the roadworks crews around the territory, i will be telling every single person about the disgusting attitude this man showed. Sorry to sound rude Wotif but this man needs to justify why he even has a hotel with an attitude like this.

Good Morning Rick, as a matter of fact we are not registered on Wotif. Whatever is advertised on Wotif is not the responsibility of Katherine Motel. Third parties advertise to sell our rooms (as our rooms are newly renovated) on their own agenda best known to them. our terms and conditions are mentioned on our website. Our team member called the number on the booking 0427 847 975 at 7:45pm on 26 Aug 2024 after hours to facilitate the guest to provide the guest comfortable check in. the person who attended the call said that he made the booking for Maxwell Thompson. it was informed to the person on call that our reception closes at 6 pm. however when the guest arrived he can call the number displayed at the reception door. The person asked to keep the key outside. it was replied by our team member that there is no such facility as there is including crime in Katherine. then the person might be you on the other side of the call started yelling with F*** word. Our team is polite and humble to every phone call and with the guests. Our Humility Should not be taken as our weekness. We have ZERO TOLERANCE policy against aggressive and abusive behaviour. please find the below the details upon check in.One person with phone number 0474 459 880 called at 8:19 pm (after hours) on 26 Aug 2024 and said that we are coming to Katherine Motel in few minutes. thereafter another call was received at 8:21pm (after hours) that we are outside the reception, as the reception was closed at 6pm. one of our team member approached the reception to provide check-in to the guest. There were two people came to the reception. However when the refundable security bond was asked then one person refused to pay the refundable security bond and called one person name Rick his boss it was explained to Rick by our team member that guest has to deposit refundable security bond. but the call was disconnected. there after one of the person at the reception started using F*** abusive word screaming and refused to pay security bond aggressively and went back while shouting/ yelling with abusive language. There are many other awful language used by the person. therefore it is requested the booking source EXPEDIA to please BLACK LIST this person and never book this person to Katherine Motel. all the incident is recorded on the camera at the reception.As you mentioned that you live and work in Kathrine then you could have visit the reception in person as you know the crime rate increased in Katherine so how can we keep the room key outside after hours? how many times The Coffee Club and the banks got break-ins. the rules made by the management is for the safety of the guest only. Furthermore if you are genuine and respectful in words and actions then please visit the reception between 9 am to 6 pm to speak in person as you live in town.thanks team Katherine Motel

The property was not secure. People were talking outside the room until 0100. I could here people yelling screaming fighting near by, I didn’t. feel safe and was worried about my car.
