Very grateful the experience at this hotel. Best was the staff. I felt so welcomed and attended to. I really felt as though in was staying with family. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying here again.

Rooms need some upgrading. The a/c barely worked. Images as if the monks are around dining with guests are misleading.

The staff is an outstanding crew. I was absolutely in heaven when I stayed there because of the desk management and the rapid responses to anything I could possibly want. The manager ( I think named sisciel ) actually worked so hard to help me get around in a Kathmandu . Polite, patient and truly caring about my enjoyment. I’ve stayed in many hotels in my life, nothing can compare with the way the guest relations I was providing with. The attachment to the Buddhist monastery added to the peacefulness and ambience. The monks enjoyed strolling over to the outstanding restaurant and amazing lobby to enjoy along with me. I could meditate in the beautiful temple sometimes completely alone inside the beautiful sanctuary. I fell in love with Nepal and I am now booking an unplanned stay, Truly a trustworthy, safe and blessed environment managed by the amazing Nepali team.

Phenomenal stay and for a great cause!

LOVED MY STAY HERE!!! Wonderful, quiet location with zero traffic noise. Only a 5-10 minute walk to the Boudhanath stupa. Hotel was made to support the adjoining Buddhist monastery, and all profits go to supporting the many monks there. I would call this a 4 star establishment per U.S. standards. My room had an incredible view of the Buddhist temple that is on the premises. Room was spotless, bed was super comfy and the bathroom had a tub that was great to soak in after a grueling flight to Kathmandu. There is a daily hot buffet breakfast included with the room, which had a very varied assortment of western and Asian choices. Omelets and Belgian waffles were also made to order. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, where I often had my meals, which were all delicious. The portions were huge and the prices were quite reasonable. The Pad Thai was the best I've ever had! Plentiful options for vegetarians, BTW (and for carnivores). The staff is all lovely and friendly. One of the guest managers, Sushil, was always checking in with me to make sure that my stay was problem free. It was! He arranged a taxi for me on my final day, and my luggage was carried the few hundred meters to the taxi (the immediate vacinity are all pedestrian walking areas). Do yourself a favor and stay here. It is one of the best stays I've ever had in my numerous travels to Asia. I originally was going to stay for three nights, and ended up staying for six.

Overall the hotel was excellent but let down by one omission: although a curtesy bus would collect you from the airport they do not cater to take guests to the airport.

Hotel Domaling was wonderful. From the incredible view through the great staff, it was a great place from which to explore Kathmandu. I completely recommend it!!
