Great view of the lake

Contre : Air-conditioning would be nice for sleeping in the hot and humid weather.
Emplacement : It's an 11-minute drive into "downtown" Fenelon Falls. Our favourite thing to do there is eat ice cream and watch the boats go through the locks.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Balsam Resort and plan to go back! Our room was on the second floor of the main (old) building and had a terrace with a beautiful view of the lake. The terrace faced away from all the cottages and was wonderfully quiet and private. The room was a little shabby but was clean and had a well-equipped kitchen with everything we needed for a long weekend stay. The beach was steps away with plenty of lounge chairs and picnic tables and lots of room to relax in the shade when the sun gets too hot. Our Canada Day long weekend visit included a performance by a live band (!) and a terrific fireworks display. I would totally recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway within 2 hours of the city - and no Hwy 400 traffic!

Amazing family getaway!
Publié le 28 mai 2018 sur ExpediaI was pleasantly surprised to see how amazing Balsom Resort is. My family all had a blast, especially the kids (9 & 2). There is kayaks, canoes, paddle boats, paddle boards, and even a water bike all free to use for hotel guests. Nice clean bbq stations covered so you can cook in the pouring rain. Firewood is all supplied at the community fire pits daily also. I cannot wait to go back.

Has docking
Publié le 2 sept. 2017 sur ExpediaWe were travelling by boat on the Trent canal and booked it because it has docking . Didn't realize it is more family oriented and setup for longer stays. Location was great for us, just off the canal and it offers a nice beach area for children. Overall it was fine.

Mattress was bumpy not able to sleep both night.
Door locked ck was not properly secured as other person by mistake entered in our room
Overall excellent location, quite, relaxing, helpful staff
