Great little getaway
Publié le 19 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property was clean and stocked with everything needed. Comfortable and roomy, we had alot of fun. Kids took the kayaks around, tried some fishing and lots of time around the firepit. I would definitely recommend this spot for quiet, rest and relaxation.

Beautiful Cottage
Publié le 19 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a combined family vacation - 6 adults and one 3 year old. The cottage is very well appointed with all of the amenities that one could want. Our only draw back was the lack of a sandy shore and safe water entrance for the little one. The cottage is on a very narrow part of the river, which is absolutely wonderful for the peace and solitude but again, not conducive for our little one. The dock was a great thing to have, especially when the chairs were set up. We enjoyed a camp site fire almost every night which was magnificent. The selection of games, books, entertainment (wifi based)was truly an added bonus of which we took full advantage. We really enjoyed the use of the hot tub and the outdoor patio with the fire table. All in all, we had a great time.

Long weekend to unwind
Publié le 14 mai 2023 sur HomeAwayWe stayed 3 nights with our elderly dogs just because we needed to get away, however briefly. It is so quiet and peaceful! Nothing but birdsong, breeze, and the gentle lapping of water against the riverbank. There are properties on both sides but no one in residence at either so very private.
We slept soundly in the primary bedroom on a very good mattress. We sat in the hot tub a lot. We sat on the deck, napped in the hammock, watched a movie or 2 and just unwound. It was fabulous!
The house is very clean. The kitchen is small but functional and has most of what we needed to prepare a couple simple meals. The coffee maker seems to have a bit of personality - - complains loudly when heating up bit them gets down the business.
