Amazing family weekender.
Publié le 29 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayAwesome spot, great facilities and the view was breathtaking! Gary and Sue were so helpful throughout the stay. The kids loved playing in the river and went to bed very tired every evening! Great getaway making lots of lovely memories, thanks for having us!

A lovely place to stay

The little cottage was lovely, very comfortable with great views & fabulous yard for our fur babies to run around in. Even though it rained we were able to snuggle up with a fire. So lovely to have somewhere so nice to share with our dogs. Thank You for making that possible.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL COUNTRY ESCAPE!!!
Publié le 12 août 2024 sur HomeAwayFrom the minute we arrived we were very impressed with the beautiful house, garden, the paddock and also the beautiful views. The deck is amazing and everything was exactly as advertised. The hosts were lovely and friendly, and sent really good correspondence re travelling and how to locate the house. Also gave us tips on where to go that was dog friendly. The owner was extremely helpful when we booked the information and smooth transactions with payments.
The furnishings were beautiful olde world style and the gorgeous bedspreads were so suitable for the house. The tranquility was amazing and so relaxing. The river is really lovely and the dogs had a great time running amok and they both had a swim. The fire pit was great and also the open fire in the house.
The kitchen was beautiful and very well stocked.

Great getaway!
Publié le 10 août 2024 sur HomeAwayOur second time here and another warm welcome from the caretakers. Made sure we had everything we needed. Did not matter that we had some rain while we were there, wonderful fireplace and lovely views. Short trip to town for great pizza, pies and of course, the cheese factory. Fresh produce from the markets. A fabulous holiday.

Beautiful & Relaxing

Caretakers Sue & Greg were very helpful and friendly. Owners instructions were easy to follow & much appreciated. Looking forward to staying here again. Thanks.

While more designated walking areas would have been a nice addition, the overall experience was exceptional. The warm and friendly nature of the caretakers added another layer of joy to our stay. I highly recommend River Oaks to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat and a place where you and your furry friend can truly enjoy nature's beauty.
