Unfortunately our boat wasn't for Greg - he hadn't read the description and it was downhill from that point on:( nice enough fella, but this is a great example of how important it is to read the description thoroughly - thanks, and we'll see you soon!

Simply put, we set out looking for an adventure and that is exactly what we got. Personally, I am of the persuasion that it behooves all humans to read the " fine print" I mentioned this because Mark does a phenomenal job regarding his disclosure on what to expect. My very first conversation with him prior to our arrival , clarified all I needed to know. During our talk we discussed how " nothing is perfect " neither him or myself. However, we were in agreement that in life there are indeed perfect moments. That said, we absofreakinglutely experienced some supercalafragilisticexpialidocios moments. To be specific, sunsets & sunrises from the Sas-Sea were breath taking.
My suggestion is if you're considering doing this , that you keep in mind the old adage "To each thier own". Me & my partner love the outdoors, love camping .
IMHO this is "Glamping" only on a boat. Boy/Girl Scout rules apply "BE PREPARED" & Better to have it and not need it than to need it & well lol be sh*t outta luck .
Also , again as Mark clearly mentions on his listing PLEASE READ...If you're expecting the Hilton....then stay there. I feel It's really important that you're aware.of what this experience offers & what it doesn't. Knowledge is powerful & the only foolish questions (* are the ones.you choose not to ask)
Call first, talk to Mark, prior to booking. This will save both the renter & rentee a lot of unnecessary grief. Again within minutes of speaking with Mark
I knew we wouldn't be disappointed

The boat was comfy and located in a peaceful cove. If your adventurous, and, like the description states, not expecting the Hilton, you'll love it. Oh, and if your exceptionally sensitive to mosquitoes, a good number of them found us. There's bug spray on the boat, but may want to bring some of your own too. Our host Mark was very responsive, and helped to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises!

Great host. Unique experience for Mom & Son trip. Peaceful & picturesque
Posted Mar. 29, 2024 on HomeAwayWe enjoyed 2 nights camping on water, away from people, among a handful of other boats, very generously distanced. It’s quiet and peaceful in a mangrove alcove, a 5 minute dinghy ride between the boat and main campground dock, bathrooms, shower, laundry, parking. Get the dinghy. It poured the day before & morning of our check-in. As with camping be prepared. I packed picnic blankets with plastic on one side, cloth on the other, flip flops/slides to wear on the boat. While the microwave & double burner stove were not functional, we did have a toaster oven, single burner electric hot plate, and a round propane grill. Electric is generator powered. The boat needs a small heat safe table on the deck to place the grill for cooking and offer a place to eat/drink on deck. Mark supplies gallon bottles of water, cooler/ice for cold food storage - so limit your perishable food on board. A Walmart is on the way down US 1, and a Winn Dixie & Family Dollar about a 10 minute drive below the campground to restock as needed. The boat’s camping toilet and shower room are clean. We did not use the shower. Tips: Pack an “overnight bag” for the boat don’t bring entire suitcase aboard. Bring mosquito netting (3 if using all 3 beds), mosquito “zappers”, camping lantern (solar powered), rope to create a clothing line above deck to hang/dry items. Host Mark is super helpful and communicative & wants guests to have a great time, just respect his boat. My 15 yo son loved the dinghy! Thanks Mark!

Rest and relaxation
Posted Mar. 7, 2024 on HomeAwayMark was an excellent host
The boat is older but so comfortable. I enjoyed the peace and quiet while watching for manatees and even dolphins if your lucky to see one . Bring your bug spray Florida's mosquitoes come out at night
I wish we could have stayed longer but as a transporter it's go go go. I will be back for sure
Thanks for everything

Kristi and Monica were super guests :-) very laid back, and and easy to communicate with! They kept the boat very tidy, and in general were a joy to host. I look forward to seeing them again soon.

Weather cancelled
Posted Mar. 1, 2024 on HomeAwayThe rating is really not appropriate since we were unable to stay at all. A significant rain storm forced us to cancel and there was no availability to reschedule for the next day so we lost our payment. Mark was kind, and certainly can’t control the weather, so just be aware this adventure is at the whim of Mother Nature.

Unplug and Enjoy the Sunset!
Posted Feb. 29, 2024 on HomeAwayManatee Mark exceeded every expectation! Definitely the Host With the Most, Mark was kind and accommodating (and beyond) allowing us to truly enjoy an off shore break with reality like we had never had before. The water was perfect for a dip off the end of the boat. Enjoyed a grilled, boat top dinner and wine while watching the sunrise. After a still nights sleep on the water, enjoyed coffee while the sun came up and warmed the cove surrounding us. The sounds of fish jumping and the clear sky (perfect for star watching!) added to the High Zen Level. Bonus for our stay: Full Moon!! We're headed back as soon as we can...

Our stay on the ocean
Posted Feb. 3, 2024 on HomeAwayWe thought it was wonderful and unique. If you aren’t ok with bare bones accommodation and “roughing it,” this isn’t for you. If you are up for something unique, sleeping on the ocean, possibly seeing dolphins, and catching some rays, this would be for you. We aren’t fishermen but this would be heaven if you are a fisherman!
