Oh where to start.... the good: proximity to Mt Rushmore is perfection. Their observation deck has great views. The property- gorgeous. Front desk staff, Tara, was amazing! She went above and beyond.
Tent looked awesome, great photo ops but it went down hill from there.
BADS:
Tent, loud! Anytime anyone walked it shook the bed and furniture. Annoying. Bed was beyond uncomfortable. I really thought it was going to be perfect, but neither my husband or I slept all night. Kids were on the pull out and said it was uncomfortable. Shower water temp was lukewarm, and we did hold down the water pulley for a long time prior- hoping it would eventually warm up. I did see this in other reviews. Water is on propane and you smell propane everytime itnis used. The bed is near the propane system set up so it was strong smelling. I did look at the system to see if we could turn up the 'water heater' device (nope).
NO OUTLETS. Not their fault I didnt catch this but good to notate. They do provide 2 battery packs for the couple lights.
Lights, need more. Grateful we had our mega flashlights, lols.
Neighbors snoring/coughing & coming all hours of the late night was also annoying but part of the experience, I guess.
The Restaurant was SO BAD. Like really bad. It was pricier but expected however the kids food was burnt, like the burgers were literally charred like a burnt cracker. Cobb salad was poor presentation and sloppy. Large chunks of veggies, no dressing- definitely no way work $20.
