Lovely location, fewer beds than advertised.
Publié le 16 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWonderful location with stunning views, the hot tub is amazing, and the host left a lovely gift for us to enjoy.
Unfortunately there were 9 people in our group and although this is advertised as having 9 beds, the “double sofa bed” is actually just a normal lounge and doesn’t convert to a bed at all.
When we removed the cushions from the lounge (trying to work out how to convert it to a “sofa bed” as advertised), there were Picnic wrappers and crumbs and a large amount of loose pretzels and even some dirty linen hiding in there. This was particularly concerning as one of our group is anaphylactic to peanuts so we spent the first hour of our stay thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the lounge. Then we had to just put a sheet over the top of it as it doesn’t convert and is not a bed.
I communicated my disappointment to the host and he did agree to refund part of the price.
If you have fewer than nine people and no allergy concerns, I would recommend this accommodation as the views are lovely and the location is perfect. If you are planning on using all of the available beds, be aware there are fewer than advertised.

Thanks for your honest response. I agree that it was my mistake to say it was a sofa bed but there is no option in Stayz to say it was a couch. It was also my mistake not to confirm the bedding arrangements beforehand like I have done with every 9 guest group. Your group had 5 children so I didn't think it would be an issue. We have had 9 adults sleep with us without complaints. As I forgot to send that email confirming the configuration, I compensated you $400 which I believe was excessive but I didn't want argument as it was my mistake not advertising correctly. I was respectful and fast to respond in the situation.
I would not host you again becasue you made such a drama out of the situation which wasn't called for. I'm sure 90% of couches in rumpus rooms in Australia have crumbs and wrappers stuffed in there by kids. The cleaner is there for 3 to 4 hours after each guest but doesn't always have the time to check under couch cushions. He tries his best and you were satisfied with the 98% of the house.
I'm disappointed u focused only on the negatives , maybe you should stay at the Hilton and complain about crumbs to them. They certainly will not be refunding you such a generous amount for your inconvenience.
We try our best to make every guest have an awesome experience, we are not perfect. I'm sure under your couches are spotless. It's not easy working full time and running holiday accommodation.
Be kinder to your next host please and teach you children not to eat the pretzels in under couches cushions.😉😁

Relax and unwind

From the peaceful location and views, the beautifully decorated home with spacious and comfortable spaces, and the spa and massage chair – this property is aimed at providing the most relaxing and restful experience. We enjoyed every aspect of it! Each window on both levels gave a lovely vantage point and we spent each night sitting on the deck looking out at the ocean and listening to the sounds of the sea. Thank you, Jason, for the ease in communicating with you and for your kind hospitality. I can tell you truly like to give your guests the best experience while staying at your property.

Unpleasant experience
Publié le 27 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayEven though the property has a great view from the balcony, it ends there. Thats the only positive. Upon arrival to the property there was a bin full of maggot riddled rubbish overflowing greeting my family and I. Even after contacting the owner, we left after 5 days and the rubbish was only moved to another side of the driveway but the stench and flies were still there. The house was not clean at all, fruit flies everywhere even in the bedrooms and bathrooms let alone an unpleasant stench throughout the house. Kitchen had fingerprints, dirt on the cupboards, spiderweb next to the fridge, dust in the house, windows and bathrooms not clean with mould. Even the couches had not been vacuumed or cleaned as my kids found dirt behind when they dropped one of their toys. A cleaning fee is charged with the property but seems pointless. If you are travelling with kids with any allergies this is not a place I recommend. For the price per night it does not deliver. I have stayed in numerous hotels, accomodations with various price ranges and have never had an issue like what I had in this property. If you are only after an ocean view and nothing else, then book this place.

Amani is a scammer.
She had at least 6 extra unautherised people at the property.
Her kids got loads sand in the spa, showers and house.
She did leave the house reasonably tidy.
The only thing I will agree with was that there was excess amount of rubbish left by the previous guests. I did send the cleaner around to tidy up but the rubbish bin and move to the street before collection which was 24hrs away, at her request. If she expressed all of her concerns about the supposly dirty house I would have paid the cleaner to go to the tip and fix any and all issues. That's how a professional business is run. If we make mistakes I will pay for rectification.
I did compensate her family $200 for the inconvenience of the rubbish. She asked for $1500 but made up loads of false excuses.
She did not complain about anything else whilst at the property. She happily stayed and then then sought a refund days after she left. It's like eating a steak and coming back the next day asking for a refund.
My cleaner is very professional and I pay him top dollar for his work. I trust him. Any guest complaints are passed onto him and he notes and rectifies during stay if necessary.
It's very disappointing when I obviously try my best to offer a premium product and people try to scam me.
I can never recommend her at any place.
I'm very upset.
Look at my 5 star reviews, more than 100 satisfied families across 2 booking platforms.
Now look at Amani's history, she has no reviews and will need to open another account to scam the next unsuspecting host.
I know I'm blessed with my property and it is a very special place.

Great stay, amazing location

Perfect Place Great Location
Publié le 20 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis is a beautiful house with everything you need including Spa ! The deck outside is covered and perfect for the BBQ, overlooking spa and a magnificent ocean view to watch the whales as the swim by !!
The beds are super comfortable and bathrooms are lovely ! The location is great not to far into main hub of Kiama. Highly recommended this home I know my friends and I will be back !!
