A Perfect Getaway

Great House in a Great Location
Publié le 13 août 2024 sur HomeAwayHad an excellent time. 2nd year in a row staying at this property. It is a perfect location on quiet Eugenia right on the beach. Just big enough for our family of 5 + my parents. Despite a hurricane, we made the best of it.

Easy Vibes

From hitting the waves quickly to sitting on the beach at night looking at the stars and moon - fabulous!! Everything was just as described, and I thought the home was larger than appeared online. The house was very clean, neat, very well organized and labeled. No surprises as Kay gives you all the info you need before you get there. We had a blast, and found the house to be well located for all activities. Get to know the bike paths, they will get you everywhere and anywhere quick!

Kiawah Nostalgia

Relaxed Beach Home
Publié le 3 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed this home and its direct beach access. We also enjoyed the seating area on the dunes along the walkway to the beach when the temperature dropped. The dog friendly policy allowed us to vacation with our pups and the back hose made it convenient to rinse the sand off them . A comfortable stay for us and a fun week fishing and enjoying the ocean.

Oldie but goodie
Publié le 15 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWe visited Kiawah for the third time and finally got to stay on the beach. The location is what makes this property a winner. While the house is classically charming and very clean, the proximity to the ocean can’t be beat. Nice screened in porch made evenings peaceful while listening to the waves.
Fully stocked kitchen.
All the modern appliances you need.
Nice private boardwalk in good shape.
Beds were comfy.
Showers with good water pressure.
Fans in all rooms were a nice feature.
Would’ve preferred updated furniture in the living room.
We ordered beach service for beach chairs and umbrellas which was ideal. So nice to not lug a bunch to the beach and set up tents etc.

I am so glad you enjoyed your time at my Kiawah home and had such nice things to say about it. I hope you will want to return soon. I did want to speak to your comment on the living room: The sofas and chairs have a slightly "retro" look, but they are not old. And I think they rather fit in with the home. Two end tables are original to the house like much of the simple pine furniture which was built on Kiawah in a barn; two are from a relative's Miami home; coffee table and TV chest are from my childhood home. I have to admit to being very sentimental, which is evident by my desire to keep the home similar to the way I have always known and loved it.
Again, hope to hear from you soon about a return trip to Paradise!
