Family Golf/Beach Trip
Publié le 16 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis location was simply ideal for us. Our group consisted of my daughter and her family (kids - 1 and 4), her in-laws and our single son. We are foodies so the kitchen afforded us the opportunity to prepare three dinners in the home as well as breakfasts and an occasional lunch. The pool was a wonderful addition for adult time during afternoon naps. And the family room, aside from the great room, was ideal for kids TV time. Perfect layout. Short stroll to the beach was also a big plus. Lastly I need to give a shot out to the communications with the management team. It was perfect.

Beautiful home

Kiawah in August
Publié le 13 août 2024 sur HomeAwaySo I booked this house for a 5 night stay, and it coincided with Tropical Storm Debby rolling through. I paid a premium price for this home, and the host and management company did not deliver a premium product.
We wanted to BBQ, and upon uncovering the grill, I discovered it was in complete disrepair. In fact it was barely operable....grates that had caked on grease residue, exposed gas burners.
There was also no speakers anywhere in the house to play music with a Bluetooth connection. I found that odd, and the TV setup are all Roku boxes, with limited Live TV.
One of the main king bedrooms had pool floats left inside, and for a 5 night stay I believe the hosts left us with exactly 5 Cascade pods for the dishwasher and 6 garbage bags. It seemed a frugal approach to what was advertised as an exceptional House for rent. Im not quite sure what they believed we might do with extra dishwashing detergent and garbage bags.
The beach towels were also rather small and flimsy.
I believed I was paying for a 5 star home near the beach and in my humble opinion it was more of a 2 1/2 to 3 star experience.

The home gets rave reviews and has a 10/10 score on VRBO. I presume based on your text messages the 2 stars is because you were upset with the fact that we do not provide you with free travel insurance for a tropical storm as none of the issues you mentioned in your review were brought up during your stay but you did complain vociferously that our cancellation policy doesn't include 'free' travel insurance. We do clearly state that the supplies are a starter set on the listing. We also state that all TV's are smart TV's and that they require a personal subscription. We highly recommend reading the listing in full before making your reservation to avoid disappointment.

Fantastic Kiawah Vacay!
Publié le 6 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful time staying just steps away from the beach! The house was so clean a beautiful!! We have a son with special needs and there was beach access very close by that we were able to walk to from our house. Also the pool was very accessible (no steps!)

Perfect!
Publié le 12 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThis house was perfect for our extended family of 10! The layout of this house is wonderful. It's literally a minute walk to the beach. The pool was also perfect. If we could stay here every year for our family vacation we would. You will not regret it!

Best home ever!
Publié le 17 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was a great home! It was very clean, furniture was very nice, the beds were comfortable...even the pillows. The pool was great, was across the street from the beach entrance. The team was great with getting back to us right away with a few small issues. Small things I would suggest .... a few more towels in the bathrooms, and a few new pans. The Teflon was coming off a few and I don't like to use them once that happens. Also, if there were some cleaning supplies (comet, Windex....) under the sink I would have been happy to scrub the kitchen sink and the bottoms of the pots. But over all it was a great house and a great family reunion. Ages 1 yr to 70 years.

Beautiful house in Kiawah
