2 Private Homes for 1! Pool & Waterslide - Cove Hale

Located just 0.2 miles from the famous Cove Beach Park, Charley Young's Beach, and Kamaole I Beach in Kihei, this property offers not 1, but 2 private homes for large groups traveling together! A rare find, these recently remodeled and re-furnished homes comfortably sleep 8 guests each.

Also known as the Gathering Place, The Cove Hale is a perfect setting to get the family together, or a group of friends, to spend a memorable Maui vacation together at one location. Enjoy two separate homes, each being two stories high, so everyone has plenty of privacy and room to spread out. The location can't be beat with restaurants, shops, surfing, and multiple beaches all within walking distance!

Both homes feature a King size bedroom downstairs with a pull out couch in the living room, and a Queen size bedroom upstairs with an additional pullout couch in the upstairs living room. In addition there is a day bed with a trundle perfect for children. A full-sized kitchen is located upstairs to enjoy some or all meals at home, a dining area for 6 in each home, as well as an outdoor dining area off the lower lanai. Both homes also offer a large laundry room so you can get settled in for a while.

The homes are separated by a shared yard, which is set up for outdoor games and fun! New private pool and hot tub for guests use! Enjoy BBQ dinners in the private yard outside your two private homes.

This is not your usual swimming pool! This is a full resort designed with all ages in mind and features a built-in slide and baja shelf ideal for smaller children to splash around. The palapa is a shady area with a swim-up bar ledge and four stools built right into the pool. Situated beside the palapa and attached to the pool is a hot tub that can easily accommodate 6-8 people. The outdoor dining area with grill is located between the two houses with easy access to both and a view of the pool. There is loads of space to stretch out, relax, and enjoy the warm Kihei sun while the kids are entertained.

Famous Cove Beach Park is a 3-minute stroll across the street to the right, and Charley Young's Beach, and Kamaole I Beach are a 3-minute stroll to the left! Walk over to Hi-Tech Surf Sports to grab a surfboard and paddle out, or join in on a game of Volleyball at Cove Beach park! There are many restaurants to enjoy if you feel like dining out, all within walking distance as well. There is parking available for 4 vehicles at this property, and while it is great to have a rental car to adventure to other sides of the island, know that your group can very easily come and go on foot without having to get in the car. There is even a bus stop across the street for those who choose not to rent a vehicle.

South Maui is known for spectacular sunsets, so grab a chair and a cooler and head over to the beach across the street! The location can't be beat, and there are very few properties that can accommodate the entire family! The criteria of the Ordinance applies to this house. It is located on property zoned A-2 Apartment District and was built well before 1989. When a property is zoned A-2, it has received building permits and was built prior to 1989, there is no restriction on the length of occupancies that can be accepted. Vacation and short-term transient rental use is entirely legal.

Family Getaway
Unique layout of 2 houses on one property that worked well for 3 generations on a family vacation. The houses were clean and fully equipped with everything needed for beach. The pool was awesome and the location was super convenient for Kihei and Wailea. The only downside is that it’s right on a main road so there is some traffic noise with loud music but the owner even provided white noise machines. Overall a really great family spot.

We had an amazing stay here. Most of us were here for a week, and it was a week of bliss. The houses were clean and had everything we needed. The pool and hottub were fantastic and Sherwin made sure we had everything we needed! We loved the location and the entire experience ! Great spot for the whole family
We had a party of 10 ranging from 8-80 years old and everyone was stoked about this place. The outdoor area including the pool, outdoor showers, grill, and dining area for a lot of use from the whole family. The houses were modern, spacious, super clean, and comfortable with the crispy AC. We walked to the nearby beaches, restaurants, and food trucks with ease. The owner also lives on the property and was friendly, helpful, and happy to give recommendations of his favorite spots.

They’ve thought of everything!
We had an excellent stay at Cove Park. They have planned for everything you could need - beach towels, wagon, all kitchen cooking utensils. Owner welcomed us to the rental and gave us access to the pool controls (kids had a blast with the colored pool lights). We had one small hiccup with the hot water and had some difficulty getting a hold of the property manager, but the owner on site was excellent and promptly addressed the issue. Great stay, great alternative to local resort for larger groups.

Our stay at this VRBO townhouse was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were struck by the meticulous attention to detail. BEST PLACE EVER
This place was perfect for our family of 13. Kihei was the perfect place to stay at on Maui - it was close to everything, and Kihei itself was beautiful and had plenty of amazing food options. Our host was so friendly and accommodating. We didn’t need much from him because we had everything we could possibly need when we arrived. I wish we didn’t have to leave we could have stayed there forever!

Great location
We had seven of us in our party and these townhomes provided us with everything we needed to be comfortable and be a home away from home. We all had our own rooms and were able to have the privacy we needed. The yard was well taken care of and surrounded by beautiful plants. We also grilled a couple of times and had plenty of room to sit outdoors. The beach is two blocks over, walking distance carrying a beach chair and tote bag. They provide the chairs and wagon to load them up on. The beach was never crowded and provided beautiful sunset views. We loved this location because it never felt like a tourist place. We went to Lahaina a couple of times where there were more tourists but it was nice to be able to visit and then return to Kihei about a 40 minute drive. The food is amazing. From fancy restaurants to food trucks, it was all great. I would highly recommend this place. One thing to note is that it sides up against a very busy road, which we didn't mind.

We enjoyed our stay.We would have given 5 ratings if only there is no initial problems.
We had water heater problem twice and it didn't get fixed right away but finally got resolved. Our initial supplies of amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotions should have been provided enough to last for however many days the stay last without having me to call and ask for it. Although the guest relations finally was kind enough to provide us with the supplies without charge. Cleaning fees should already include removing trashes. When people are on vacation, the least that they want to do is to removes garbages.So that is why I only give 4 ratings instead of perfect 5.

Our family loved every minute of our stay in Kihei! We have a large group traveling together and we rented both houses. The houses are very inviting and clean! A total five star experience
Our stay was nothing short of amazing. Both houses came fully stocked with brand new appliances, super comfortable beds and linens, everything you could ever need in the kitchen + a top of the line grill for your outdoor evenings. Lawn games, beach chairs, towels galore, comfy beds and linens, and a perfect set up for big families. On top of it all the owner was available and touched base with us to give local tips and make sure we had everything we needed and more. Hope to be back next time!
