Aloha and welcome to Kihei Akahi. This is a charming townhouse located in South Kihei, Maui. This beautiful townhouse is located across from Kamaole Beach II, one of south Maui’s prettiest white sand beaches. The unit has a wonderful ocean view which can be seen from the upstairs and downstairs lanais. The two walk out lanais have a total square footage of 224. The lanais are wonderful extra space for outdoor living and to enjoy the spectacular sunsets.


About Kihei Akahi:
-The grounds at Kihei Akahi are immaculately maintained. You are only steps away from the private gated pool, BBQ area and tennis court. It is only a short walk to a variety of restaurants and stores. Kamaole Beach II is immediately across the road with its fine white sand and has some of the best swimming and snorkeling anywhere. (For your convenience we also include beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella and mats.)

About the town house:
-The townhouse has been recently updated. AC in guest room. King Bed in Master Bedroom.
New lighting in Kitchen. New Drapery thru out. Solar Blinds upstairs Bathroom and Hallway Sky Windows
-Fully stocked kitchen. Linens towels. Beach chairs umbrella sand toys.

Upstairs:
-Master Bedroom: Air Conditioner King Bed, dresser, night stands, large mirrored closet, ceiling fan and walkout to lanai with lounge chairs & cocktail table and 4 patio chairs,

-Guest bedroom: Air Conditioner Two Twin beds, CD stereo, mirror closet night stand, ceiling fan, dresser, and alarm clock.

-Full bathroom with dual sinks, enclosed toilet and tub/shower – lots of mirrors & storage

-Clothes washer and dryer

Downstairs:
-Living room – Couch, TV, DVD, and another lanai totally sheltered by the overhanging upstairs lanai and furnished with a dining table and 4 patio chairs, cocktail table and 2 chairs.

-Kitchen and dining area: Fully equipped with refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender, Pods and drip coffee makers with grinder,tea pot, rice cooker, etc. All dishes, cutlery, pots, pans and any desired accessories are provided. Dinner table to seat 4 people.

Great location but some disrepair concerns
Condo was a great location right across from Kamaole Beach. Great pool area. Able to easily walk to restaurants and bars. On day 2 our bedrooms air conditioning stopped working. My phone charger was on the same outlet and it stopped working too. It wasn’t a breaker/fuse issue. We reset them all. No electricians could come because it was the weekend. A handyman did come and brought us an extension cord to temporarily use. The furniture was dated and it just felt like the air conditioners were rigged. We went to use the pull out sofa to use while the AC was out upstairs. That wouldn’t hold air when we inflated the air mattress part.then took an act of god to get it back put away. Good communication with the office and the property manager. If all you care about is location, then this place is great. If you’re expecting your money’s worth… this may not be the place.

This property was everything we hoped it would be, and more! Centrally located, steps from the beach, shops, groceries, gear rentals, and a spectacular view overlooking one of the best beaches in Kihei. We didn't miss a sunset, either from the lanai or the beach. Kamaole Beach II is the perfect location. Lots of fun sand, boogie boarding on stormy days and right beside good snorkeling on calmer days on Beach III. As for the unit: Plenty of beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling gear and 2 boogie boards) meant we only had to rent the odd thing when what's there didn't fit. The unit was clean, well appointed, comfy beds, functional bathrooms, good lights and fans. AC in the main living room, master and 2nd bdr. It was well stocked with towels and toiletries left by the owner and previous tenants, including shampoo, sunscreen, aloe and even hair mousse! The kitchen was stocked with spices and cooking supplies as well which meant we didn't need to buy a whole package of spice for one meal. There was even coffee for our first morning! (Thank Gawd!) The ONLY thing I could possibly complain about with this unit was the size of the kitchen, it is a galley with only one entrance = cramped. More than one person in there was a little chaotic, but we got used to it as the week went on. I wouldn't want to give up that pantry space though, so that was a definite plus! We were very pleased with our stay here.

My family and I loved this spot, which was stocked with all we needed (beach gear, including 4 chairs, umbrella, beach towels, etc.) for the beach and in the kitchen (ample pots/pans, some cooking basics, lots of supplies). With our 15 and 19 year old son and daughter, the location across from the beach and walkable to stores and restaurants was ideal, so they could be independent when they wanted to. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool at the end of the night on many days, as well, and many families made use of the grills. Management was very accommodating and responsive, and communication was clear. The sound of the ocean (and the gorgeous sunsets) during our entire visit was the icing on the cake. We’d love to return, we adore Maui and loved our VRBO rental!

Great location in Kihei; not family friendly property and loud.
We've done trips to Kihei for past 10 years and this was our first in a Kihei Akahi unit. We had a great vacation but there are a few things about the property I wish I had known before: Noise: road noise is loud and hard to sleep through. Additionally there is a bar next door that is fairly loud. Property is not family friendly: you cannot splash, make "loud" noise, or use any pool toys in the pool. Try preventing your 3 and 5 year old from playing loudly or splashing in a pool, it gets exhausting and we stopped going to the pool eventually. No balls, frisbees, toys can be used on the lawns. You can only walk on them. Again, not great for a 5 year old that wants to play catch. The Kihei Akahi property manager is very serious about the rules and threatened multiple times to "shut the pool down!" The year round residents are older and do not like kids as well, multiple times they complained that noise was too loud etc. Outdated: old furniture, small TVs without any streaming capabilities, etc. A lot of Kihei units are outdated so this isn't a big deal but a TV that would let us stream a show for the kids at night would have been nice. We'd stay at Kihei Akahi again if it was just my wife again without the kids, but not this unit. Too loud for us.

Location, location, location
This unit is located perfectly with a 90 second walk to Kamaole beach 2, restaurants, convinces stores , etc. We loved the upper deck for watching wales and sunsets and the lower covered deck for private breakfasts and games/snacks in the evening. Lots of room with the two floors, and nicely appointed up-to-date kitchen with everything needed. The pool and BBQs are just steps away all very clean and well kept. We would definitely stay here again. Host was also great to work with and very helpful. Can’t wait to get back

Loved it as always!
Really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again next year. Location is great although this year there seemed to be a lot of noise coming from the beach park late at night. Cleaning when we checked in could have been better; was very dusty and dirty in some areas. But we love the condo and will keep coming back!!

When we arrived we saw immediately that the fans were very dirty. Fluffs were hanging off the fans. We also found a pot where still a noodle was sticking. Then it was not allowed to smoke on the patio. The best of this stay was the place, even in the night is is very loud. The road is very busy.

Excellent Location Spacious Unit
A-108 is an awesome location! It’s just steps away from the cross walk to Kam 2 and next door to Fred’s/Moose’s and other shops. It is a spacious unit with nice separation between sleeping/living area. The kitchen was nicely stocked with all utensils/dishes you would ever need. It can be loud when on the lanai as it’s right on S. Kehei rd although with the door closed it’s hardly noticeable. The upper deck is nice and spacious and offers great views but it was too hot for us to sit out there during the day. The amenities (pool/BBQ) are nice and close to the unit but be warned they are sticklers for the no jumping in the pool ;). We were there over Spring Break so there were a lot of kids at the property and the office ladies would come out all the time to tell everyone to stop jumping even if it was only kids in the pool (the pool is 8 ft deep). The upstairs would get quite hot during the day as there is only a small air conditioner in the Master (so the kids room was quite hot). Overall-we would recommend due to location/size. We ended up having a wonderful time overall. We would definitely stay again. ❤️ Maui.

Great location
This was my 4th time staying at this unit and I love it. It has all the kitchen necessities that you need and all the beach supplies you want. Natalie is the manager and she does whatever it takes to make your stay enjoyable. She has been the easiest manager I have dealt with in my 30 years traveling to Hawaii. I would highly recommend this unit for anyone looking to be close to restaurants, stores, and of course the beach.

The property was perfect for quick access to the beach and other activities. We decided not to rent a vehicle so we biked to all our destinations. The condo is in the heart of the community and there was never a dull moment. We enjoyed sunsets from our balcony and sleep to waves crashing on the shore.

This two story condo fronts Kihei Rd right across Kamaole 2 beach. There are 2 outside lanais. The upstairs lanai is nice to sit out and beach watch. The downstairs is cool and private. Parking is right in front of the unit. Restaurants and stores are in walking distance..

Wonderful, spacious place just across from the beach
The location can't be beat. While Kama'ole 2 beach wasn't our favorite, we could still walk to Kam 1 and Kam 3 and many great restaurants easily. Love how well the kitchen was stocked, along with all of the beach equipment. It's not a totally "remodeled" place (though the kitchen was), but I would rather have a good price any day. Hope we can come back again someday!

Unforgettable 35th Wedding Anniversary
This property is all about location. Across the street from Kam II beach and access to many restaurants, shops, activities. The two lanai’s upper and lower made for great moments watching Maui’s great sunsets. This property had everything you could imagine to enjoy the outdoors, cool your own meals when you felt like it, and had all the comforts of home while on this glorious island. Planning on coming back to this property every year moving forward .
