Publié le 7 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was our 4th stay, and the place is just a magical as it was 4 years ago. The new kitchen is so beautiful and the whole house has been refreshed. The yard is truly amazing. The bird song is so beautiful. We even started naming the roosters. Anini beach is prefect and so close. We will be coming back.

Anniversary vacation
Publié le 25 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved this rental! It was a cool place with a screened in porch, outdoor shower, wrap around lanai, great bathroom, and comfy bed. We would definitely stay here again!

nice cottage
Publié le 16 août 2024 sur HomeAwayCottage was nice, spacious, with well- stuffed kitchen utensils, mostly as described, in the walking distance from the beach, across the road. But If you are looking for the quiet relaxing vacation, that will not be the case. At 3 AM to 7 AM local chicken rosters scream like crazy!. They roam around, most of them do not even belong to the property. Stray rosters. I wish they were kept somewhere on the farm or eliminated like noisy pests. Neighbor’s dogs were barking on and off all night long, every night. Did I mentioned repair and remodeling going in the adjusted property? And y cannot close the windows, because there is no A/C. That said, the landlord was trying to be as helpful as he could.

A Hidden Gem
Publié le 28 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayThe description and pictures do not do this place justice. I feel like it is a little hidden gem. It was much more spacious and inviting than expected. I loved the screened in patio for meals, the quiet hammock and chairs on the other side of the wrap around patio for enjoying our morning coffee and reading a book. My teenage son loved the loft bedroom. I was worried he might not like it because of privacy concerns but it was more private than excpeted and he thought it was the cutest thing. Mary Ellen was the most gracious host we have ever had. She checked in with us and provide a few extras to make sure our stay was perfect. She was very responsive to any concerns we had and made sure everything was right. I couldn't have asked for a better host. We did not get the opportunity to use the kayaks this trip due to our short stay but look forward to coming back again. Also, Anini beach really is just a short walk away (closer than we expected) and the snorkeling there is amazing. We wish we had more time to spend exploring the site.

Beautiful and comfortable home
Publié le 12 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayBetter than advertised. Pictures don’t do it justice. The house and yard layout was perfect, especially for sitting on the porch with wind and rain we experienced during our trip. We cooked several meals in and had plenty of kitchen supplies.

Nice to know they are a mile away. They did not stop over but would have had we needed them. The house is airy and well designed. Loved the openness and wraparound lanai. Peaceful other than the very early frogs and roosters. Well equipped, comfortable beds, lots of beach items, good water pressure, hot showers. Short walk to Anini Beach. Traditional Hawaii home. Surrounded by lush plants and trees. Great visuals out of every window. Lots of fans. Cooled off at night. Looks much better than the VRBO photos. Highly recommend.

Loved our stay
Publié le 20 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a great stay at plumeria cottage. It was better than the photos. We loved the outdoor shower and beautifully landscaped property. It felt very private. The house was comfortable and well equipped. We loved seeing the ducks, chickens and geckos and hearing the crickets and bullfrogs at night. The kids loved seeing and hearing all the animals. They also enjoyed collecting oranges, which we squeezed to make orange juice. It was very idyllic. Bill was very responsive when we had trouble with the lights at one point. He also was kind enough to transport the kayaks to a very idyllic river near the house. We kayaked up to an amazing waterfall, which was my favorite activity while we were there. The location was perfect, with an easy walk across the street to a perfect swimming beach. We'll be back!
