Moloa'a Bay Cottage: 1 BR, 1 BA Cottage in Anahola, Sleeps 4

At the south end of the property near the entrance is a detached separate 2nd story guest house consisting of 994 square feet of air-conditioned living area with 2 bedrooms plus a loft and 1 bath. On your return from the beach, shower off in the new outdoor lava rock hot & cold shower. The cottage may be rented separately or along with the main home. Location is very private & cozy. Exquisitely furnished and fully appointed. There are ocean views from the cottage. Here you experience the casual Hawaiian elegance that typifies the spirit of Kauai.

(Be advised that ocean conditions can be unpredictable and unsuitable for swimming at times. Please use cautionary discretion when entering the ocean at any location on the island).

Authentic Island Experience
This place was amazing! Cute guest house with two bedrooms and a loft. Well stocked kitchen. Views from the property at every window were gorgeous! Step onto the beach from the private yard. It is a small bay that seems only accessible by property owners along the few properties that line it. Very private and swim able. I loved waking up here every morning! If you want a non-tourist, authentic island feel for your stay this is the place. The drive in off the highway is gorgeous and definitely gives you the “garden island” feel!

Great location
Great location oceanside. Moloa'a Bay was beautiful. Very few people on the beach at anytime. There was even a couple times we were the only ones there. We saw multiple sea turtles and some monk seals. Easy drive to both the North and East side of the island. Would stay there again.

This property is heaven on Earth. We highly recommend staying here. It's clean, well appointed and an oasis. You will have this gorgeous bay almost entirely to yourself. You must enjoy the songs of birds and roosters, as they begin singing very early. We loved it!

Wonderful place and beach
Loved the location -- had the beautiful beach almost to ourselves. Cottage was comfortably and nicely furnished with everything you could need to fix meals and relax. If you want to be out of the crowds at Poipu in a beautiful setting, this is the place for you. Spent time in and around Kileaua since Hanalei is around 40 minutes away. Lumahuli Gardens is amust.

Honeymoon haven
We were married during our stay in Kauai and stayed at this location during our visit. The home was spacious and met our needs for a private place to celebrate our union. If you’re looking for a super bougie place with nearby conveniences, this is not the spot for you. The layout was perfect for the two of us and having easy access to a semi-secluded beach was a huge plus. The bed was super comfortable. The water pressure and heat was great in the shower. My favorite surprise was sitting on the deck and stargazing on a clear night. I’ve never seen as many stars as I did during my stay here.

Wonderful 25th honeymoon
This cottage was absolutely perfect to celebrate our 25th anniversary!! The cottage was perfect and the beach was amazing. There are about 15 homes on this beach and so you pretty much have a fairly private beach. There are lots of trees so easy to sit in shade and enjoy a book. Our vacation was ama ing and loved this cottage.

Simple but fine cottage next to wonderful quiet beach
We loved this small but very nice cottage just a few steps from a rare quiet beach on Kauai's beautiful North Shore. Never saw more than a couple of dozen people on the beach. The main bed is comfy and the extra Murphy bed, if needed, is decent enough. The house is airy if you open the windows and the AC is most welcome when it starts to get too stuffy. Management attended quickly to internet/TV problem. All in all we'd definitely go back next chance. Even reluctant to share our good impression!

Beautiful grounds right on the beach
Everything was great- very helpful staff and quick response- the AC quit working and they fixed it right away- good location halfway between Lihue and Hanalei- the bay was wonderful with calm water and almost no one there- felt like a private beach!

terrific place on a secluded beach
I highly recommend this place. It's on a secluded beach, and it's great for swimming, snorkeling. The updated kitchen and loft made it easier to dig in for a couple days, too. I loved birding from the deck with a coffee in the morning, too.

Terrific location and commodious lodging
The listing is accurate. Make sure you are clear which rental you are are getting. There is a guest cottage (which we had) and a main home (which we thought we were getting). The guest house was very comfortable. The ocean was in sight from the front windows and porch. Two flights of stairs take you to the lodging - a potential issue for some guests. Remax was entirely responsive. There was a bit of traffic - a lot of foot traffic passed by on the other side of the adjacent fence as people (locals I think) walked to the beach through the neighbor's back yard. There was some truck parking/idling activity too. While that wasn't a positive, it really wasn't alarming or annoying. Besides, you have to enter 3 different access codes to enter the house so security is pretty tight. The codes are just 4 digit numbers so they were easy to memorize/use. We plan to return, hopefully for a long stay.

The best beach location on Kauai
This is a fabulous location by a the Moloa'a Beach, which is so uncrowded that occasionally you have the whole beach to yourself. The property borders the beach, and from the lanai you can both see and hear the ocean.

Private Paradise!
This place is absolutely wonderful! If you're looking for your own private paradise, look no further. The cottage is modern and well-maintained, the grounds are so lush and beautiful, and Moloa'a Bay is basically your own private beach for swimming and snorkeling. The tides are a little rough directly in front of the house, but walk 3 minutes to the right and you'll find protected, calm waters. The A/C worked well and was very nice to have. Overall we loved our stay and highly recommend for a more private "off the beaten path" experience.

Paradise
A quiet neighborhood beach with safe swimming on the right side. It's so nice that we spent most of our time on the beach in the shade of the trees on the chairs the provided with the rental.
