The best hub to see the glory of Kerry

Host Marie’s delightful former family pub is a fantastic setting to come back to after a visit to Tralee, Killarney or a trip around the spectacular Ring of Kerry. Marie is simply the best host, making us so welcome, and her knowledge of the local community, culture and best spots is remarkable. We’ve loved our visit and will be back soon.

Great stay
Publié le 6 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved being able to stay in an old pub and so neat to see all the history of our host’s family. Very comfortable and great location to see many things. How often do you get a pub all to yourself?!

Great position for us and off street parking. Marie was there for us when needed making our stay very enjoyable. The decor in the lounge kitchen area was quite unique felt like you were in the pub

Marie is a great and friendly host, reacting very fast on WhatsApp questions, having good tipps as well, good internet. Close to Dingle and RingOfKerry and a store direcly across the street. The street and the craws where a bit loud and the bed a little small - everything else was fine.
Unfortunately there is no nice pub in walking distance for food and a beer.

Unfortunately, the crows are nesting at this time of year so make their presence felt at times. If you had visited a few weeks later the situation would have been different. Nature is quite amazing at this time of year.
The bed as stated in the listing is standard double bed size.

Publié le 31 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had originally only planned 2 days at this location, but it has such a convenient location to explore the SW part of Ireland by car, we ended coming back and booking for 3 more days!
Marie is wonderful hostess! She was a great source of information about the area and her beautiful country.

Great base from which to explore SW Ireland!
Publié le 27 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayIt was first fun to stay in a place that was once a pub! Beautifully decorated and very well situated. We rented a car and we found it to be very nicely located to explore and have a place to return each evening. Marie was a delight and patient as we learned about plumbing fixtures functions we had not been familiar with.
We had a lovely kitchen to cook our breakfast and with a store right across the street, it was quite convenient. There was parking off the road.
Marie also let us know the train was within walking distance if we chose not to drive.

Perfect getaway
