The stay started off rough with our first room having a terrible Oder. The front desk staff was nice and moved our room. The second room had broken furniture and still had a unpleasant smell.

The manager was absolutely terrible. None of the key cards would open our door so a manual key was needed. The night after a long day, the key card reader quit working and the manager (in Baltimore) told the front desk to put us in another room without our things. We were told he’d be there by 7am the next morning. He was not. We had to wait 2.5 hours for him to drive from his house to let us in our room so we could get our things and go home. All of this could’ve been avoided had they placed us in a different room as soon as the key reader quit working the FIRST time. Staff was wonderful, manager was the worst.

They will over charge you card at check in. They over charged me $100. Breakfast staff was rude.

Thank you for staying at the Country Inn and Suites-King George. We value all feedback and use it to train and lead our staff to make our guests stay and experience the best. The additional charge you see is for smoking. We are a 100% non-smoking facility and when it is discovered there was smoking in a room, charges are applied immediately. We thank you for choosing us for all your lodging needs and wish you a great weekend.

The one elevator to the second floor was all the way in the back of the building. If you had luggage and a room near the front of the building, you either had to carry up your gear to the second floor or walk down the first floor hall to the back of the building, take the elevator and then walk back to the front of the building.
Breakfast was good with choices. Saturday's breakfast was replenished well, Sunday's not so much. You had to ask for plates and other things that were not replenished.
Staff was nice and cordial. Rooms had refrigerators where they actually worked well.

Pool was not open and it was in the 90's

We apologize that our pool wasn't open for your pleasure however we are working diligently to completely remodel the entire property to include the pool. Again, thank you for choosing us for all your lodging needs.
