Not what we expected

There was only 1 bath towel when we arrived and the bedsheets were Give me a too small for the beds. The MB shower head did not work properly so we could not use the shower. The property management did call us back that evening and arranged for delivery of towels, washcloths, hand towels, and sheets that would fit the beds. The windows do not close properly nor do they lock. The neighborhood was quiet, but not what we expected location wise. Property management gave us a refund of one night for our inconveniences.

Very clean very convenient

We really enjoyed our stay. It was convenient to a lot of Kings Beach amenities and especially ice cream ! It was an easy walk to the beach as well as restaurants . It was clean and well put together . The property is almost exactly as listed. It probably should have included that itis the upstairs floor of a 3 unit building. We did have the whole unit to our selves however we were worried about disturbing the neighbors downstairs.

Great Property

Great location if you are staying at King's Beach. Easy to get to and in and out, even with crazy traffic on the main road. Walking distance to shops, restaurants , bike and boat rentals, and the beach. Quiet. We never saw the downstairs neighbors or heard them coming and going. We just saw their cars. The neighborhood was quiet too. It feels safe. Driveway parking was easy and convenient. The property is big, spacious, bright, well equipped, comfortable and clean. The layout is long and narrow. This gives people in the bedrooms and someone sleeping on the pull out bed in the living room privacy and silence at night. Fans kept the rooms cool since there isn't air conditioning. Smaller room could use a screen on the window. Large back balcony overlooking a beautiful yard with a slight view of the lake through the stately trees. Wi-Fi is spotty in the lake area. We couldn't get the wi-fi on the property to work even with direction from the owner. We could have used more direction about which door to enter when we got there. To us it wasn't clearly marked or identified. We would stay here again.

Great location, not kid friendly

The beginning of our stay was a disaster. We arrived a little past check in time, to a DIRTY unit. Overflowing garbage, linen all over, DIRTY. No phone call, telling us they were running late. We would have gladly shown up later to a clean place. We immediately called mngmet and waited mb 15 min for a call back. Meanwhile, my wife had to take the Lysol and start cleaning the place herself, so we could feel remotely safe with our children touching things. In retrospect we shouldve went back to the car, but we had no idea how long a response would take. When they called back they had the audacity to ask if we still wanted someone to come clean! Of course!! Is that really a question? You would think during a health crisis customer service would be top notch. It was not. We left to give the cleaning crew time to clean and when we came back to the unit at 8:30 pm, my wife and I separately were greeted by a female downstairs tenant and she basically laid the ground rules of how we should live there during our stay. She said I was blocking the garage door (I was not), my kids feet were causing too much noise because she gets up at 4 am to go to work, and finally not to leave garbage outside because of bears. (We has been there 20 min, so we definitely hadn’t left any garbage). 15 minutes later she banged on the door (loud enough to scare our children) and was rude to my wife saying we sounded like a “herd of elephants”, and basically told us to stay on the other side of the unit. She also said however loud we were, she would be equally loud at 4am. Really? And again, we weren’t having some crazy party, we had only been there 30 min! We were unpacking and putting out the rollaway bed, because we couldn’t do it early because it wasn’t clean!!!! Yes, we have children, but if a 2 year old walking across a floor is upsetting, the advertisement should have clearly said this was not a kid friendly unit and we would not have come here. The unit and location itself is great. Which is why we picked it. Its close to trails and down the street from the beach. However, we felt like we were walking on eggshells the whole week. Let us know if you kick out the tenants of studio C and we'd love to come back. Until then, more reviews like this are bound to happen. On a side note, the mngmt did offer us a partial refund for the first night plus cleaning fee, because we pretty much insisted.

Fun and relaxing getaway

We booked this place just a few days prior to arriving. It was an accurate description of the place. Nice little walk to the beach and easy access. Only issue is that the place has 2 tenants who live there full time. We talked to them on our arrival day and knew to be considerate of them below. They do work early in am and when they open the garage early in the morning, it does wake you up. The only recommendation would be to add some ceiling fans as it got really warm inside and there is no a/c. Several windows didn’t have a screen so it was as difficult to leave the windows open without bees, flies and other bugs getting in. Otherwise, a great spot.

Will not stay here again and definitely will not recommend. I felt cheated

This will be my absolute first bad review ever written for anything ! We Travel to Tahoe at least 6 times a year. This one by far was the worse experience renting this place. Definitely misrepresented online. Took the family out for Father’s Day for a peaceful time but of course that didn’t go well for us. It’s a house with two full time tenants downstairs. The moment we came in the tenant downstairs was not welcoming. At night time we were enjoying tea and chatting with family ( around 930 pm) the tenant under the living room area decides to start banging the ceiling with a stick extremely loud several times. ( WE WERE NOT LOUD AT ALL!!!!) which was crazy to me that she would do that. I went downstairs right away and I knocked on the wall near our door and asked to please not to do that again. So now we are sitting down the living room whispering to each other at a decent time. Absolutely ruined my stay. We felt like we were on a curfew. I emailed the property management team that it is very important that they give me a call as soon as they can and that I would call the police if the tenant bangs on the ceiling again. They send an email saying “ we apologize about what happened please allow us to reach out to them” . NO CALL after I requested it twice !!! Ohh no, story isn’t done! At around 4am that particular tenant decides to slam the doors on purpose several times to wake everyone up. I didn’t want to respond to that since we were only staying for two nights and I wanted to salvage my trip and be the bigger person. Second day ( Sunday ) we decided to walk to lake and we meet the second tenant who decides to be rude and asks me for his parking spot back !!! The listing shows that we have two parking spots !! He said that we couldn’t park here ( the actual designated area for the upstairs rental). Now I lost it and sent another email that it was very important that the owner of the property calls me right away or give me his email that I can tell him what’s going on ! But again no call back from the property management. I always give someone a chance to make it right, but in this case they definitely dropped the ball. To the owner of this place, You have a beautiful home and a good location but def the wrong team to handle it and the wrong tenants ! As a renter I was very disappointed that I wasted my time here ( I was mainly stressed out walking on my tippy toes not to bother neighbors than actually enjoying my time ) I felt cheated
