Great place to stay.

One of the best equipped and well set up places I have stayed. Great to have clean and well-equipped kitchen. My room looked out on the road; at first I thought it would be too noisy but the double glazing was very effective at blocking the sound. Good information eg clearly labelled light switches. Easy to use door seduriry with codes. I was delighted to be able to leave my luggage between check-out and train departure. Very convenient for station, town, restaurants, church. I would recommend these rooms to others.

Practical room

All I needed was a practical room where to sleep and that’s what I got. I would have hoped to have my own bathroom rather than shared tho.

Kevin did not stay at our property. He wanted to cancel his reservation at 7pm on the check in date because he changed his mind and demanded for a refund. Kevin then tried multiple ways to threaten and intimidate us when he was told that it was too late for free cancellation.Kevin’s latest retaliation is this review which is at odds with all the positive reviews left by our other guests, many of whom stay with us regularly either for work or weekend visits. On the same night of his booking, we have just received a full score 10 out of 10 review by another guest on this platform. I am sure the readers can make their own judgement on the truthfulness of Kevin's review.

The amenities (kettle, washing machine, Netflix, etc.) and location of the property were good but it was not what we expected based on the photos. Generally a bit dirty, e.g. dust over all the lamps, sideboards, cracks in walls, etc. There was also an issue with the bed as we had booked the king bed but instead it was two singles put together which we were unaware of (wouldn't have been an issue if it had stated that). There was also a spring poking out the side of the bed which I quite seriously cut my leg on.

We score consistently high on cleanliness. We have discussed with our cleaning team about your comments and have taken action to rectify them. Like many hotels and guest houses, we use zip and link beds. The two single mattresses can be zipped together without leaving a gap in the middle to ensure comfort. In addition to our regular room inspection, we have carried out another check on all our beds to ensure there is no safety issue.
