Publié le 17 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved staying in a roomy Thatched Cottage. The cottage is comfortable and roomy but not too big. Just big enough. The kitchen had everything we needed including doing some laundry. Its on a busy road but the cars driving by were not very frequent. If you are a foreigner like myself prepare yourself for the single lane country roads that have a high speed limit, you need nerves of steel if you are not use to it!

Quaint, quirky and comfy.

Communication from first booking to leaving the cottage was excellent. A minor snag was immediately dealt with by the neighbour via owner.
With had no issues with parking car ( largish SUV) at property
We were aware of the steps and stairs, good mobility is needed but as a fit couple in our late 70’s we had no problem. The stairs were ‘interesting’
The cottage is in a beautiful area, with wonderful coastal path walks with many small and pretty bays.
We were impressed with Dartmouth and further afield, Plymouth
A different style of driving is needed on the narrow country lanes
Parking in NT and other car parks is a challenge. Some wanted cash only ( no change ), others card only and others phone only.
All in all a very enjoyable stay and excellent weather as a bonus.

It was perfect. Recommend the Hope and Anchor in Hope cove. Averil was a superb host.
