Westwind is the perfect home for everyone to gather & play on the lake. It's located right in the heart of Lake LBJ & only a short paddle away from the sandy island that is very popular for boaters. This home has a ping pong table, kayaks & lily pads to keep you entertained all day & night! After a day at the lake grab the kids to make some popcorn in the new popcorn & candy machine & enjoy family movie night. Or sit outside to enjoy the sunset from the 2 patios or down at boat dock!

Guests will be able to access the entire home including the boat dock. Guests also have access to the community park that includes neighborhood ramp.

The Neighborhood:
This home is located on Lake LBJ in Kingsland Texas. Minutes away from the Kingsland Community Public Boat Ramp, HEB, and several local restaurants.

Other Things to Note:
We are available via phone, text, email, or in person if need be. This home is very close to the water, so you will want to keep that in mind if you have young children.

Due to recent housing boom we are experiencing more construction throughout our neighborhoods. Please be advised it as may be near this property.

Security cameras located on the outside the property

In lieu of a security deposit we require a $75 damage waiver fee through Safely that covers guests up to $5000 in damages to the property.

As part of our effort to help you relax and enjoy your stay, we insure the property against guest-caused, accidental damage with the Safely Protection Policy. The cost of this protection has been included in a Fee on your reservation.

The Safely Protection Policy covers the cost of repairing damage to the property up to $5K for content and dwelling combined.

The fee for this protection is refundable if the reservation is canceled in writing at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the arrival date. Any deductible, minimum claim amount, or cost of repair in excess of the coverage limits will be the responsibility of the Guest, and Hill Country Stays will process the payment using the form of payment on file for Guest.

Quiet Hours are from 10PM-8AM!

Pets are not allowed at this property. If evidence of pets is found, an automatic fee of $500 is charged to the card on file.

All refunds will exclude a 5% credit card service fee.

if you are planning on swimming you have to be okay with a lot of plant life in the water. Also pretty hard to get sun with the covered porch and boat area. House was comfortable for 6 of us

Quite and Relaxing

This property was accurate to what was described in the post. If you are looking for some peace and quite, mid-Dec is a great time to be here. Virtually no neighbors seen during our stay (not that it would have been a problem). I suspect this place is teaming with activity during the Summer. Great place to bring a family. The only short-coming is the upstairs shower. It is tiny. Would stay there again.

Beautiful, clean home!

The house was the perfect spot for our family, which included grandparents and adult children. We would definitely stay here again. Note to other renters that there is no master bathroom but this was not an issue for our group.

Great Lake Location

My family of six stayed for 5 full days and 6 nights. House location on lake is perfect and beautiful. The inside is ve and beautiful. Inside is very nice but needs a few fixes, such as the sofa chairs legand the platforms for the the master bed is very noisy, but nothing to fret about. The platform the extendes over the lake is the focal poimt of this location. We were out there every day except the last two. Which is the reason for the 4 stars. The house next door was having work done on their dock and the work being done made it unbearable to sit out and enjoy the lake, due to the constant concrete cutting that went from 12pm to 4pm and only stopped because of our call to the management company , to which they called the owner, which we truely appreciated. During our call the company that manages the location reminded us that the location overview state's there is a chance contruction could happen in the area, which under normal circumstances would be reasonable. However, the next morning work started at 8am and lasted until 430pm. Needless to say we had to leave because the noise was unbearbearable, so we left for most of the day. Contruction is one thing but cutting concrete is not a noise to just ignore. If work like that is going to be done, should be worded differently so people understand what to expect.

Great Texas Get-Away Spot

We used "westwind" as our base-camp for exploring central Tx. Inks Lake (devils hole), LBJ lake, Comal river-float, Marble Falls, etc... and it was perfect for our family and friends. The Upstairs was spacious with a large enough kitchen for us to enjoy breakfast and dinners when we weren't out. The upstairs Jack and Jill bathroom was a little tight, but the rest of the lake-house was just right. Boat dock with kayaks and rope swing was really cool, and a great place to watch the boaters and sunsets. Would recommend to friends!

Family Meeting

The property was well depicted in the photos. The house was roomy and no one felt cramped. The kitchen was truly well-stocked. The TVs are large and wall mounted. The appliances were top of the line. Checking-in and out was clear and very easy. Each bedroom had plenty of storage space. The furniture was comfortable with nice towels and linens. We had so much fun playing ping-pong and talking on the decks. The popcorn popper was a huge hit with us. The weekday was perfect. Starting on Friday through Saturday evening there was a lot of jet ski and boot traffic. It would make it hard to kayak during these times. I felt that Hill Country Stays was very responsive in answering my questions. We would return to this home.

Fun Family Getaway

This place was just perfect for a relaxing vacation. We have children ages 10-19 and there was something for everyone! From the rope swing, to kayaks, swimming and ping pong, everyone was happy. The home was very clean, and the views were amazing. Literally right on the water. The host was very responsive- we can’t wait to stay again!

Great Lake House Right in the Heart of Everything

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location on the water is great, which makes it easy to access the sandbar, restaurants, secluded coves for anchoring, and open water for breaking out the towables. The property itself is two bedrooms up and two down, which made it perfect for two families traveling together. We would definitely stay here again. The owners were very responsive which made everything very easy. Also, if you have a tritoon, this is definitely the place for you! They have a lift that could handle our 22’ tritoon, which is very tough to find. There’s a neighborhood boat ramp just a few houses down, and plenary of room to park a few vehicles and a trailer.

Great Lake Stay

Great location and accommodations. Kitchen was great. Decks upper and lower are beautiful. It was a little busy with boats with the Memorial Day holiday, but was fun to watch. 2 rooms downstairs. 2 rooms and kitchen are upstairs. My parents are in their 70’s but did well with the stairs.

Weekend with friends

Great place to stay for a weekend with friends. Very clean and location was good but we did go on busy weekend and there was a lot of boat traffic. AC worked very well and we were nice and cool when went inside. The only thing missing was a place to attach fishing poles but other than that very happy with the stay!
