Pour : L'accueil, le paysage, le calme, la sérénité.
Contre : Le grincement des portes en bois ! Surtout celle de la cuisine collective le matin !
Emplacement : Vous êtes au pays du seigneur des anneaux, Narnia...c'est magique ! Par contre, prévoir de faire les courses à Queenston si vous ne mangez pas au rest
Il est vrai qu'après 8H de route nous nous sommes un peu perdu, mais à l'arrivée quel spectacle ! La route pour y aller, la vue sur le lac, les repas (un peu cher mais c'est aussi un backpaker avec cuisine à disposition !), les balades magnifiques....On pourrait y passer une semaine sans se lasser. LE TOP !

Historic property in excellent condition for the age. We especially liked the communal kitchen/lounge area. The rooms are compact but clean, the heating was insufficient whilst the hotties were a nice touch, an electric blanket and heat pump would have been better for the money. Need a few hooks on the walls for jackets etc. The spa was very relaxing and great views. Despite the remote location and expense of getting food we still felt $90 per adult was a bit steep for the 3 course meal that was dished up to us and we felt the courses were rushed through, no time to digest. Overall we can appreciate the challenges of running a remote lodge and can see the benefit in staying here if you love the outdoors.

Thanks for your review Katrina. We are looking at new heaters for the wilderness area, sorry that it wasn't enough for you. There are hooks on the backs of every door in Wilderness (or walls for outward opening doors). Thank you for the feedback regarding dinner, we will take it on board and do our best to improve.

Amazing views - though shared toilets/showers/kitchen everything was very well organised - bedding was really comfortable - staff extremely friendly and accommodating

This isn't a very helpful review to those reading it... This guest thought he was too tall for our top bunks and had no other option in the dorm room available to him, and didn't want to pay for a private room. We don't reserve bunks and would expect someone tall to look at photos and descriptions carefully if this may be a problem for them.

Data and phone line aren't anything that we can control, sorry that our remote location meant that your phone didn't work well enough. Our wifi is fine, we use starlink, sorry if you had problems using it.

If you want to be close to nature very weak network and wifi but will get some if you are desperate then this is the place. Your shared bathrooms are pretty big cozy and nice & clesn with all amenities you can imagine. Their breakfast is really good with a killer view and outdoor hot tub has a very nice view. Amazing experience!

Thanks for your review Wasif. Our wifi is usually quite good, we use starlink so occasionally the satellites are calibrating which affects it. Most guests don't come to such a location for the wifi though ;)
