Avis Parkers Creek Cottage - Peaceful Waterfront 3 BR

We selected the property because of the screened in porch with a view of the water. It was very comfortable and we had an enjoyable couple of days away from the city. Would consider returning for sure.

The quiet neighborhood, the beautiful river view, the abundance of waterfowl and other birds made this just the relaxing getaway we were looking for. I was especially thrilled to make my first sighting of a pileated woodpecker. We also appreciated how well supplied the house was with everything we could need. We will be back!

This is a great property which is newly remodeled. The furnishings are as comfortable and calming as the location. It was so easy to relax down to candles in the master that read "Be Calm. Be Still." They also have provided so many extras including a stocked kitcg complete with a spice cabinet, full coffee and tea station (including some K-cups, tea bags and some coffee), napkins, papertowels, plenty of dishware/cookware, utensils and appliances. There were also games, beach chairs, corn hole, a hammock, fire pit, grill, etc. And if that wasn't enough, a small beach along with the local wildlife of birds around their feeder and a pair of bald eagles nearby provided more entertainment. If I had to suggest anything it would be that there was no recycling. It also would be helpful to share that there are really no grocery stores/restaurants within a 25-30 minute drive. But if you come well equipped with food, it is no issue to prepare a meal. This place was a gem for all of us from my 14 year-old daughter to my 90 year-old mother.
