Everything was great, I had my dog and he enjoyed his stay as well. But just a warning if you book on Expedia, if you are filtering for pet-friendly room, you have to adviise the Chalet in the notes. I thought I had booked a pet-friendly room bc Expedia said it was one of the amenities I filtered but it didn't apply to the room. It's confusing. Luckily the staff were helpful and able to accommodate my dog even though we had booked an incorrect room on Expedia.

This was my first time staying. Checking in was good. Lady with front desk was polite and helpful. When I whet to my room the hallway smelt like piss. Lower lever from the office. Room was clean but should be updated. Holes in the walls, water damage in the ceiling. Can’t change the channels on the TV. Everything was unplugged. Was not given an internet password, yes I could have asked but by the time I noticed the office was closed. I reserve two rooms. My coworker hand to change up her room. We were given vouchers for breakfast. Service was good but food was super salty. I won’t stay again

We stayed here for 4 nights with our 3 small kids. We used the extra cot and had to move the beds to make room for it but it fit.
The free breakfast was good 2/3 times and you had nice options to pick from. Despite being close to a busy bar I felt safe there and we didnt have any issues. They had free laundry which was very cool and also offered us daily passes to the rec center so we got to swim there for free and that was also really cool.
Now for the bad. The stairs are so steep to get to the second floor.
The curtains were so thin and the light outside the door was on all night. It was difficult to fall asleep because it was so bright in the room. The air conditioning was so big and bulky and stopped us from being able to open the window to get fresh air. The carpet was gross and smelly and caused our whole family to have major allergy troubles. The sink leaked all over the counter whenever we used the tap and the last night of our stay the toilet broke and wouldnt flush. Also after a few days staying you could see the black mold forming on the walls in the bathroom.
The shower head was so low it was hard to shower comfortably. Not ideal for a family to stay but if youre just there for work or one person it would be a good fit. The sheets and towels were clean. So was the room. Free laundry was a plus and the front desk people were really good. Not a super comfortable stay but not the worst place weve stayed in.

The place is one the best in town. I love staying here when in Kitimat.
