Pour : Check-in was quick and friendly and I was helped when something needed to be fixed. Privacy was fine.
Contre : Facilities are clean but basic. The kettle didn't work on my first visit but this was tectified, and I couldn't get the DSTV to work either.
Emplacement : Knysna is beautiful and has a multitude of things to do. Plenty of information is provided about these.
Nothing grand about this Lodge, but as a place to stop overnight on your way to somewhere else it is acceptable. There is a pool and the grounds are pleasant so children will have something to do, especially as the nearby tidal stream from which the Lodge takes its name provides for exploring - but it could also be a little tricky for very young ones.
