Good Little Place Near the Sea

An afternoon in Negumbo with a one night stay between flights. We had our free airport to hotel transfer arranged (a little late recieving confirmation) but pickup car was 45 minutes delayed which was not a good start having made our way promptly to arrivals. The car was good quality and driver fine. On arrival at hotel we were greeted well and recieved a surprise welcome drink. The room was comfortable, quite large and a nice four poster bed. Wifi worked well and speed was good. It was hard to find a power socket for recharging devices, but other than that the stay was fine. The local informal fish market on the beach was a 2 minute walk away, whilst the main town centre was about 5 minutes, and railway station about 8-10 minutes. We had dinner at the hotel which was tasty, ordered when we arrived back at the hotel after our walk and prepared to a specific time (so we could refresh in our room in advance). Hotel transfer back to the airport the next morning at 4:30am was at an additional fee, but was on time. Staff in the hotel were friendly and interested to talk, especially the chef. Would be happy to recommend, but would probably just take an airport taxi from the airport in future.

It was a good Stay and the Hotel Staff was really friendly and accommodating.

I booked one night because we arrived early in the AM and needed a couple lace for a few hours before our packaged tour began. This hotel was very reasonable and included free airport pickup. I confirmed our flight and arrival time several times with them, yet no one was there to meet us st the airport. I had to call the hotel and the clerk told me to take a taxi and they would pay for it. He apologized when we got there satungbthe driver was at the airport because he was waiting for a late plane. The room is pretty basic, but clean. The staff is super nice, which practically everyone is in Sri Laks Breakfast is also included it was hands down one of the best Sri Lankan breakfasts we had

Basic Hotel near the airport

Pour : Proximity to airport.
Emplacement : Not a great area. Next to the fishing port (and not in a picturesque way). Nothing to find locally.
This hotel is pretty basic and, whilst well located for the airport (20 mins) it's in an unattractive and noisy location so I wouldn't recommend it for anything other than a quick overnight before/after a flight. That said, it's inexpensive and does the job.

Pour : The hotel staff picked me up at 1:00 am.
Contre : Breakfast is expensive.
Emplacement : The hotel is 15- minute's drive.
It was good to pick me up at the airport at 1:00 am and send me to the bus terminal for the nest destination. ( Of course, pick-up fee was included in the acomodation fee, though )
