You get what you pay for in india . At the same time, this place didn’t even offer a bar of soap in the bathroom, nor any towels. For a blanket at night i used 2 thin beach towels . Not to mention that my room had the scent of a sewer at 2 in the morning

Dear Guest Mike ,Your review i am giving the reply,First you check what kind of room you booked you booked my NON AC, basic budget room only,I thought you are a gentle man and your from USA CITIZEN ,Your booked my cheaper room, In steed of your cheaper room i gave you my standard room, With free of cost ,My every standard room having fan and air conditioner checking time you said thanks you gave me big room, Night you had a drunken boos with alcohol you want to start my air conditioner remote and start free of cost work my air conditioner , I said your booked my non ac room only, If you want to start my air conditioner in your room you have to pay air conditioner power charge extra you i cant give you.This is your booking mistake , And my great mistake instead of non ac budget room, I gave you my standard room free of cost this is my mistake.Really shame of you mike ,Pity with you mike. Owner

Amazing welcome by Bernard. Warm, friendly and genuine. I booked a small, cheap room and was upgraded to a larger, more superior room at no extra cost. Bed was super comfortable. Bernard was so helpful - giving information on the are; booking taxi. Would certainly stay at Dream Catcher again when back in the area.

This homestay was the ideal place to start our holiday and Bernard was extremely helpful in ensuring that we could get to see all we wanted to in Kerala.

This was the ideal place to start our holiday. We were given good information and helped to make this experience one to remember. The rooms were clean and everybody was friendly and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend.

The room was fine but when I asked about Ac or breakfast I received a huge diatribe about it being a budget room. If they had just offered me an Ac room and breakfast as add on costs I would have said yes. And there were Ac rooms available. Bizarre

Dear Sir /Madam, Thanks for your review 04, First of all you check your booking ,Which category room you booked , Then write about your way, Your booked my low budget low rate room in my room six room category, But if i have spare better room i will give my all guests , Lucky your check in time my Air condition Good room is empty and free, ,Instead of your budget room booking i gave you free of cost my AC , room with fan , Then you told me to start My AIR CONDITIONER How can i gave you my AC , Free,of COST, Its costing double then your budget room rate, This is was i explain them, Also your booking budget room with out breakfast , You asked me free complimentary free breakfast how can i give you free, When asking something you must check the room with free offer include, My friend you need AC, Room you must book AC, Room, You need Breakfast you have to pay, Other wise, Only one answer from owner, Sorry, I am very sad to write this reply,Next booking you book AC, Room you will get everything complimentary,, Actually i thought of to give my good room instead of your budget room , Its my mistake. OK Stay But Bedbugs

Expedia messed up so when we checked in, our reservation said 1 room instead of 2 rooms, even though our email confirmation said we had 2 rooms booked. The rooms were small but decent. The hostel was a good location in Fort Kochi. The power went out a few times during our 3 night stay, sometimes for an hour. Bernard and family were overall kind and responded to our questions with little trouble, and made us breakfast one morning. However, Bernard made some off hand and alarming Islamophobic comments that we didn't know how to respond to. Most disappointing was that one of us got bedbugs from our room, which traveled with us to our next hotel as well. The price is low and the value is what you pay for.

Pleasant homestay in good location

Pros: The rooftop terrace
Location: Within walking distance of all the local attractions
Bernard and Sally are very welcoming, friendly and informative. I stayed in an air con triple room, fine for me but would be tight if three people were staying there.

Nice building and good location.

The building itself was very pretty. Good location to access the sights of Fort Cochin as they are all a short walk or cheap tuk tuk journey away.
