Indigne de figurer dans hôtel.com

Inacceptable de trouver ce genre de chambres sur hôtel.com, sauf si vous avez l'habitude de couchez avec votre chien dans sa niche et sans la nettoyer. Service à reculons. Très tres cher, rapport qualité prix inacceptable. Un des chiens couchent dans la cuisine ou la salle de dîner ou dans l'escalier. J'ai des photos tres édifiantes de tout. Et je ne veux pas tout raconter....Jusqu'ici j'avais suivi les propositions de hôtel.com avec confiance. Désormais, Je vais y regarder à deux fois. Seul points positifs, à accepter de changer d'un jour nos réservation suite au probleme avec le ferry sans nous faire payer et de nous laver notre linge gratuitement. Avions hâte de partir.

Alain, I am very sorry to read how upset you were by your stay. We take all complaints very seriously and do our best to address concerns immediately when they are brought to our attention. Unfortunately all I can do after the fact is review the comments with my staff and strive to improve for future guests, which your comments will absolutely help us do. I am glad you mentioned the dogs because they address a unique challenge we have here, but there isn't a place to describe that in the hotel profile, so responding to your comment will allow me to ensure other guests who may not be comfortable staying in a hotel with dogs will be fully aware. We keep dogs on the property because having them minimizes the risk of bears coming close to the house (they will still come on the property occasionally, but they don't like dogs so they stay a safe distance away from the house). One of our dogs is 14 though and she can't sleep outside because even in the summer the temperature drops considerably at night. We do keep her in the back room or on the deck if we have guests taking advantage of a meal package or even if they are using the main house kitchen or dining in the dining room, and our cleaning procedures include additional steps necessary to keep things clean in spite of her being in the house. Our other dog stays outside always and we always have someone around to heel him when we have guests who are uncomfortable around big dogs. Of course we are only human and will certainly overlook things occasionally, so again, thank you for your honest review and rest assured we have incorporated your concerns into our ongoing quality management.

Nice and quiet. Bed was comfortable and muffins were tasted. Nicole was very helpful.

Wonderful little cabin off the beaten path. Friendly owner/staff. Don't stay here if you're looking for a typical hotel experience (checkin at the front desk, order room service, check out without ever talking to anyone). Stay here if you want to feel like you're visiting family. We had no idea what to expect or do when we got here and the owner sat down with us and showed us maps, let us use her really nice trail guide. We were so impressed with her knowledge of the area we hired her to take us on an ATV tour that was just a blast.

When we drove up the first night, no one was home. The yard was full of garbage and junk, very dirty. We entered the residence and no one was home. There was trash and garbage all over. There was also many piles of dog feces all over including on the rugs. The stairs were gross. We did not stay, called owner and told her we would not stay and wanted our money back. Will see if they return our money. The home looks nothing like the picture on Hotels.com, I am also very disappointed with Hotels.com for featuring this bed and breakfast, are these places not checked?

Imagine that you have been lost in the Kodiak wilderness for a week. You haven't had anything to eat. The bugs are pestering you. The bears are around. You're tired and wet and miserable and about to give up. Then... you stumble across this place. THAT is the ONLY scenario I could envision anyone wanting to stay at this dump of a B&B. The first thing that greeted us when we arrived (once we found it) was dog excrement. It's everywhere. As you enter through the kitchen, the place smells like a doghouse. Really... this place has no redeeming qualities. Their idea of breakfast is a bag of potato chips. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this dog of a B&B! SO not worth it!

Emplacement : Nothing to do in the area. The woods by the driveway had been clearcut. Had to drive 1 hour to get to town.
This place was a nightmare. There was no sign to indicate a bed and breakfast. The yard had quite a bit of junk, dog hair all over the hall. The room smelled of dog urine. There were pubic hairs in the bath tub. Dirty smeared windows, a futon that had garbage in the main seam. The bathroom window was dirty with brown something. Oh, yeah, and dirt smeared on the only chair. Only offered one muffin for breakfast with chips. Don't go here!!!!

Thank you, Ann for your candid review of the property. I wish I had known of your concerns while you were still here. We certainly strive to address issues immediately. I normally clean and prepare each room myself and if not I always check them over. I have had several guests in that room since your family was here, and fortunately it appears that if the drain traps in the tub and the windows were missed before your stay, they are spotless now and I have discussed attention to detail with my staff and even started asking someone to look over the rooms after I clean them to ensure our standards are upheld. I also prepare the muffins and quiches for breakfasts and since we are so far from a store, we serve baskets of chips and other snacks. I did notice after you'd left that the refrigerator had somehow gotten unplugged causing the freezer to defrost over the quiche I had made. I'm sincerely sorry that happened and certainly would have made another one if I'd known. Since our bathrooms don't have windows I can only assume you're referring to the areas on the bathroom mirror that have been scratched and worn. I'm pleased to say that we have plans to upgrade many furnishings like the mirror and chair, which I did look over based on your comments, and unfortunately the marks are wear marks. A final note on the cleanliness, while we have to keep dogs to limit visits from bears they are not allowed in or near the guest rooms (in fact our 14 year old dog is the only one that even stays in the house) so I was surprise at there being odors in the room, but to be on the safe side I have had the carpets steam cleaned. Finally, it is our seclusion that appeals to most of our guests, but it certainly is not for everyone. I hope this review will highlight the fact that we are an hour from town and save someone else the frustration.
